We had walked out of the woods into the small town. We stood next to the bus stop, looking at a child playing with his toy. He twirls it in the air, losing focus of his mother screaming at him, not to go further down the street. As the mother moves her focus towards another civilian, the boys' toy drops over to the middle of the street. As a natural instinct I run towards the street, knowing the boy will run after it, clashing onto an oncoming car. But as I a step foot on the street, I'm pulled back and witness a car passing me. I turn back to see Luke's worried face. I look back at the kid where he went to his mother, asking her to grab the toy.

Luke pulls me close to him, hugging me tight on his grip. I said "I didn't... I didn't see it coming, I swear, it's just that the boy." He pulled me off his chest, brining me to his view, he levels his head to mine saying "Emma you could have died." I feel his worried concern; I pull him closer to me "I'm sorry if I scared you, I promise it won't happen again, it was just a reflex Luke. I'm sorry."

We stand there hugging one another, until the bus picked us up. Now Luke took the window seat, resting his head on the window. During the ride, he hadn't said a word to me, I feel like he's mad at me for the incident. I slowly rest my head on his arm. He doesn't fight my actions so I stay in position until Luke said "This is our stop." We get off and head straight towards the beach. We were 20 feet away from the beach where the bus dropped us off. No one was at the beach; it was too cold to even walk around.

The violent wind pushing my chest, the cold whispers moving my hair back. We sit on the sand, looking out to the horizon. It was like 5 in the afternoon already. We spent most of our time in the bus or waiting for the bus. Luke pulls his legs to his chest, wrapping his arms around them. He squints out to the sea. I cross my legs saying "Luke I'm sorry, I didn't mean to anger you." He looks at me "no it's fine, it's not that, it's that I felt at that moment like it's happen before, the feeling seem too recognizable." He looks back into the sea. I tug my jean jacket closer to my chest, trying to prevent my chest from freezing.

We sit there in silence, just looking at the waves rolling, seagulls flying and seeing a few boats off to the distance. The silence felt comforting, like we didn't have to try and spark a conversation, it felt like we were comfortable with one another. I reach over to Luke, to grab the flower crown and sit back down. He doesn't even flinch at my movements. I slowly take out a white daisy and start ripping the pedals. Luke looks over to me, noticing my behavior "He loves you. He loves you not." I look up at him "he doesn't love Me." he takes the crown, putting it back on his head "Leave my crown alone; don't use my flowers for worthless guessing games."

I smile and look out to the side, watching two seagulls fight over something they caught. Luke then smacks my arm. I turn back to him, and he's pointing at a fair few miles away from we're at. He smirks "Let's go!" I smile and stand up, smacking at my dirty jeans. He lifts himself up and we walk towards the fair.

As we walk, we start getting closer to the waves, stepping on wet sand. Suddenly Luke grabs my waist and pulls me down to the sand, tickling me. I laugh and scream, wiggling my way out but then I notice a pink cloth floating out to sea. I yell "My scarf!" Luke looks down at me, and then moves out of my way. I stand up, run toward the scarf but then realize I stepped into the water, freezing there. Then Luke goes in deeper but the scarf is far off shore. We were both knee deep, staring at my scarf float away. Luke turns to me "Emma I'm so sorry, I'll get you another one." I smile "its fine Luke, it was just a scarf." He grabs my hand "I'll buy you another, I promise."

We walk back to the sand. On the way to the fair, I kept pushing Luke towards the water, so he can trip on some sea weed but he just tilt to the side. Once we got to the fair, lights sparkling in every direction. Luke yelled over to me "let's go on the Farris wheel!" I look up and see a huge wheel. I nod in agreement. We make line and Luke mentions to me about the time he got on the Farris wheel and he got stuck on the top due to technical difficulties and he swore that was the scariest day of his life. Once it was our turn, Luke told me to take a seat while he talked with the guy handling the control system.
