(Kim Nicole Holton)

"Come on baby, please answer me."

My feet continued walking back and forth across the floor. I seen the living room window light up and heard a huge eruption of thunder. "Please don't be out in that Jahlil. Where are you baby?"

His phone went straight to voicemail.

"Hey honey. This is Kim. I just want to make sure you're okay. I love you honey. Be safe."

I looked over to the clock on the wall. 11:49 PM.

Jahlil has never done this! He is usually better with communicating with me when he's out.

Phone can't be dead, I bought him a car charger.

What if he got lightening struck?! What if he had a car wreak?!

I'm standing in the comfort of my own home, but my son... I meant Jahlil is out there somewhere.

Just when I was about to break down, my phone buzzed in my hand.

Janelle.

(Janelle)

"Son. Please talk to me. Say something. Anything."

Jahlil's small body looks so miserable laying in this HOSPITAL bed. He has a few cuts on his arms and legs, his face has bruises, his right arm is in a cast, and he has tears on his face. Tears are a true rarity for him. Not for my emotional ass though. I have drying tears on my face right now!

"Is my car okay?"

"You're laying up in a hospital bed and all you can worry about is a car?! Jahlil that car is done for! Don't you know you could be dead right now?"

"I'm gonna miss my car."

"FUCK THAT CAR!! You almost lost your life Jahlil. You need to snap out of whatever the fuck is going on with you, because I don't like it. A car is replaceable. A son is not! I know you don't care about your life right now, but I do!"

"Why you so mad for?"

"I'M MAD BECAUSE I LOVE YOU DAMN IT!!!! whoever you have become. You aren't the Jahlil I remember."

"The Jahlil you remember was a little boy who was oblivious about the ways of people! The old me died! This me needs to fuckin die too. I don't give a shit about this stupid life I live anymore. That's why I keep pulling the oxygen out my nose. That's why I pulled my IV out my hand. Now I sure's hell can't be in this room by myself. Nothing I do works. That's why I need a-"

My nervous shaking hand went across his face as tears made him hard to see.

"I'm so sorry son. I never meant to hurt you. I never wanted things to be this way."

I cupped his face in my jaws then gave his forehead a tender kiss.

(Ashley)

Hailey and I walked in on a conversation I did not want to hear.

"For the billionth time I was drunk Jay! I had no intentions of cheating on you. It just happened. She meant nothing to me. You are my everything. If I lose you I'll lose everything. I can't imagine life without you Jay I made a mistake!"

"So you are the fuckin' reason my brother is laid out in a hospital bed talking crazy."

When Janelle called me I was shocked as hell. Not only does Janelle not like me, but I didn't even know Janelle was out of jail!

My life was just starting to get a little better. My aunt Vivi took me and my sister in. I didn't feel one ounce of guilt by leaving Shelby in that ran down ass house. I hope she loses the ragedy shit so she will be homeless. I wish nothing but the worse for her.

Anyway, back to this bitch.

"I know you heard me hoe."

"This is between Jahlil and I. Not me and you. So please stay out of my business."

"No no no sweety" I took my hoop earrings out my ears then put my hair up into a ponytail. "You made it my business by fuckin with my fam. You dirty little hoe."

She stood up and put her hair into a ponytail. "Call me a hoe one more time and see what's gonna happen."

I caught her with a quick right jab then a left. She stumbled back but tried to hit me. I caught her with another right then tackled her ass to the ground.

Hailey started screaming and panicking, so a bunch of people ran into the room.

(Author's note: has Jahlil went insane or what? Dx what's gonna make him break free from his current mind state? Why did Ashley feel the need to fight Malia? Like brother like sister, huh. Lol. I'm so not a fan of this chapter.)
