(Janelle)
This morning I woke up feeling awful. My eyes are puffy from crying. My throat hurts. I cried all last night. No one understands how I feel.
I got up and went to the bathroom to clean my face and brush my teeth. When I finished I went into the kitchen to be surprised. There on the kitchen table, I see a white rose and a note. I sat at the table and picked up the note.
(Note:
Good morning ma. Yesterday was uncalled for. I was just upset. Like I said, I've just been through a lot. I loss three relatives all in the same year. That isn't an easy thing to deal with. You almost made it four.
But, I don't want to dwell on that thought too much. I still love you, you're my mother. My love for you may have a dint in it right now, but it'll never completely fade away. If you need anything, just text or call me.)
(Kalecia)
"Look, I don't give a damn what you say. Ol' boy be too damn hype on 106&Park. Wit his short ass."
I laughed and playfully pushed Jahlil's shoulder. "Don't be hatin' on my boo."
He picked up some chips while I got some chips and candy. "I'm not hatin'. You asked me for my opinion."
"True."
He paid for our stuff then we went back to his car. He was about to crank up, but his phone lit up.
"Hello."
"JAHLIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Malia screamed so loud through the phone so loud that even I could hear her clearly.
"Wha....damn, why didn't you tell me earlier?.....okay, I'll try to hurry. Baby, I love you."
"DON'T CALL ME A FUCKIN BABY!!!!"
"Right, I'm sorry. Love you. See you soon."
He put his phone down and deeply exhaled.
"Looks like I have a valid reason to skip going to the mall today."
(Jahlil)
Malia called me a little while ago and told me that she was at the hospital.
Kalecia and I were suppose to go shopping today. That girl can shop until I drop, so I'm glad I got out of that one. Some of her friends were going to, so I just dropped her off and kept going. Because of the distance between Malia and I, I really wish that her or her granddad would have called me when she was on her way out there. I don't even know how to get to the damn hospital. Good thing I have that navigation thing on my phone.
I have to be there for the birth of my children. Like I always say, I must be a better father than Brandon was. A good start would be actually showing up to the hospital. I remember my mom telling me he wasn't even there when I was born. Go figure. Wasn't even surprised when she told me that.
Before I let my thoughts anger me, let me just focus on the road and bump my music so I can be with my lady.
"We made a bond from the very beginning
I found my homey and my best friend
Imma be there for ya till the very end,
No matter what, no matter what, no matter what, yeah
We broke the rules, we took it further in
We made a promise to each other we ain't gon' never end...
she gone be there for the kid, no matter what
No matter what, no matter what, yeah"
(No Matter What -Future)
(Malia)
"I love you baby!"
"Aww, I love you too."
I looked at Jahlil oddly then looked back to Isabelle. "I was talkin' to my baby."
He frowned up before laughing. "Whatever. I let you break my hand, you better love me. Ain't that right Lina?"
I just smiled at him. Wow, who would have ever thought that we would be parents? Last night I gave birth to two beautiful baby girls. Malina Jahliegh McClain and Isabelle Jahlee McClain. There is no other feeling quite like the feeling of being a mother. I look into my babies eyes and I fall in love. They have the ability to take my breath away. They make me want to step my game up and do better in life so that they won't ever have to want for anything.
As Jahlil and I played with our beautiful babies, the door opened. In comes a person who I did not want to see at all whatsoever.
How the fuck did he find me here?
