Part 3

"Don't let me, don't let me, don't let me down. I think I'm loosing my mind now. Its in my head, darlin' I hope, that you'll be here when I need you the most." The Chainsmokers ft. Daya, Don't let me down.

"So does this mean...?"She asked.

" Hopefully. That decision is all up to you. I really do love you Kai. Its something I've been meaning to say for the past thousand years. If you're not ready to say it back you don't have to. I know I've broken you and you might not feel the same anymore but I just thought now was a good time to tell you how I feel. Well kind of. Actually not really a good time to do so but hey I did it." He chuckled at the end looking down.

"Id love to try it out." She joked." I love you too Finnick Odair."

A huge smile was placed on his face as he picked her up from the couch and spun her around. She giggled and begged to be put down. When her feet touched the ground, Finnick kissed all over her face which caused her to laugh even more.

He loved hearing her laugh and seeing her smile. Every time she graced the world with her smile everything in his world seemed to glow. Kailani was his moon and he was her stars. Together they lit up the darkness around them. But, Finnick's stars began to fade.

"Hey Kailani. About that thing where... I've been gone." He trailed off, suddenly frowning at the topic.

"Yes?" She said getting serious.

Finnick sat her down on the couch and  got on his knees in front of her. He told her how ever since he was sixteen Snow had been using him as a sex object. How Snow had killed his whole family and that's why he cared for Mags so much. He told her about the blackmail and the threatening. Everything. Even though it was a touchy subject he told the love of his life every little detail.

"That's why I've been away from you. I don't want him to use you against me. You mean too much to me. I don't know what the hell I would do if.. if.." He choked. Kailani just sat there and looked at her hands while he tried to not cry. She was in shock. How could Snow do this? Why would he force Finn to have sexual intercourse with strangers Finnick didn't even know?

"Please say something Kai. I understand if you don't want to see me anymore after today but please don't do this to me now." He begged

After a couple seconds , Kailani snapped out of it and threw her arms around him and he silently cried. "Ill never leave you Finnick. έχετε την καρδιά μου." 'You have my heart'.

Finnick pulled her closer to him and they stayed there for awhile. He really needed this acceptance from her. The only other person who knew was Mags. He never told anyone else. He was so grateful that Kai had accepted him and he hoped to live a long and happy life with her. But he couldn't do that with Snow watching. He would make sure Finnick was never happy and take Kai away from him.

"Kai I hate to ruin this for the third time but you know we cant do this in public right? I don't want Snow to use you against me. I would die without you near me." Finnick said, looking into her deep blue eyes but still holding her close.

" I understand but please don't ignore me anymore. I want to know whats going on. And.. if your feelings for Annie arise just tell me. Spare me the pain." Se said sadly.

"I talked to her and even though we had been together awhile she claimed she didn't have any romantic feelings towards me. To be honest my heart has been yours ever since we met." He blushed a little as he tried to assure Kailani.

" That's good because once mine collects its pieces, it will be yours.  We can still act like friends in public and we could always speak in my native tongue if we need to tell each other something couply." She giggled a little.

"Couply?" He asked with amusement in his eyes." Like what?"

" Like, lets cuddle later or have a movie night. Saying Σε αγαπώ every once and awhile would be nice too."

"Σε αγαπώ." He told her, already loving saying it to her.

" I love you too."

And with that, they sealed their love with a kiss.

The next day they decided to tell Mags because she was a big part of their lives. Of course they agreed not to tell anyone else. Annie already knew some parts of their love life but they wouldn't tell her its official yet. Kai needed a little more time.

Since peace keepers were always in the pub, they didn't worry about anyone seeing them at the beach. The two victors acted like the love birds they were at the beach and behind closed doors but never anywhere else. The couple couldn't risk being seen by the cameras or the people of district four. On the other hand, they were so content with their lives and they both knew that it would have to take something really devastating to pull them apart. Maybe not even then.

"Hey Kai?"

"Yes Finn?" She responded as they laid on her bed, snuggling as the rain began to pour.

He hesitated." Where do you see our relationship going?"

"What do you mean?"

" I mean. Do you think you see us getting married and having kids? Maybe getting a pet or breaking up in the future?"

" I don't know. Getting married sounds nice but how? How are we going to do that?" After a pause Kai continued." Because of the games we wouldn't be able to raise a pet but if we could have one it has to like water."

"And the children?" He asked. He would love to have a little Finnick or little Kai with the love of his life but they both knew they couldn't risk their potential child's precious lives. He would be devastated if something happened to their offspring.

"I don't want to raise our beautiful children in this messed up world. We cant guarantee their safety. Isnt that what parents are supposed to do; keep their children safe?" She noted sadly.

"Yes but what if this world was free? Would you consider it then?"

"Of course. I would love to start a family with you. Not right now but maybe a few years after we marry and establish a happy home." She said quickly with a nervous smile and blush on her face. She pecked Finnicks lips and then asked," Why did this come up all of a sudden?"

" I was just thinking of a future us. You know having 35 kids running around." He joked. Kai laughed and punched his gut playfully.

"Sorry dear but I'm not popping out that many. I'll have three at the max. If you want more, you'll have to do it yourself." Kai gave him a lingering kiss and went to get up only to be pulled back into Finnicks warm embrace.

"No you cant leave yet." He said pouting and pulling her close.

"Finnick,the sun is setting. Even if its pouring outside I still have to go pray." She laughed at his childish actions. She looked outside the window observing the darkening sky. It looked like the sun was setting fast. Was winter coming?

"Cant you just skip it? This one time?"

"Excuse me?" Kai said, suddenly very angry." You know how much doing this means to me! Do you want bad things to come to us?" Finnick then loosened his grip on the red head and just stood up, looking at him with intense eyes. She yelled at him some more but in greek, letting Finnick know he really screwed up.

"Kai I'm sorry."

"Its too late. The sun has already kissed the horizon." She noted, pointing at the almost gone sun. "You better pray that nothing bad happens"

And with that she stormed down the stairs, into the living room. The man stayed sitting on the bed,gripping at his head. He felt guilty for his actions. He knew how much the moons powers meant to her, even if he didn't practice it himself. After a few more minutes he went down stairs to say he was sorry again, only to see Kai sitting on the floor. She was praying in the middle of the room with some type of herb burning, cups full of water on the windowsill and a few candles ablaze around the room. He knew she was still angry with him so he didn't say anything about how she could burn the house down. Finnick just sat on the couch, watching her lull her body in circles, mumbling greek under her breath. She finally stopped when the candles were fully burned down, almost collapsing to the floor but Finnick was there to catch her. He carried her to the room where he held her before he passed out.
