"Weep little lion man, you're not as brave as you were at the start." Little lion man, Mumford and Sons

They didnt leave each other that morning until they had to go to training. The area looked the same to Kailani, just different people, so she noticeably relaxed at the similar environment.

"We must make allies with Katniss and Peeta for this to work. We will know who else is in on this plan soon. I know Joana is for sure." Finnick smirked as they walked with confidence.

"I understand. For now lets seperate. Let them come to us. You might have to approach Katniss though. She doesnt trust you."

"Trust is not needed in the games."

"It is for her. That means you need to gain it and soon. Especially if this plan is to be successful." Kailani advised wisely. Finnick had a moment to digest this information before he said,

"I'm not a child Kai. I got this."

They said goodbye before going off to speak to other victors. Kailani said hello to the morphlings, Beetee and Wiress, Joana and a couple more before heading to the fishhook station. Its the only thing she could do besides weaving rope. The other victors didn't know of her strength and she wanted to keep it that way until the games started. Soon, District twelve arrived and started their expidition to find allies. They watched as the other victors showed off. Enobaria hissing with her unnatural teeth, the siblings working together at throwing knives, Brutus showing his strength by throwing a spear, and last but not least Miss Joana Mason letting out battle cries as she swung her axe around. Kai simply laughed at the couple's faces and continued her work. Peeta was the one to come up to her first.

"Kailani."

"Peeta. Long time no see." She whispered with a wink.

He didnt stay long, saying he was going to introduce himself to some others. She just nodded with a small smile and finished her work. Just as she finished the fish hook Katniss came up to her.

"Its beautiful." the mockingjay complimented. Kai nodded in thanks."You were very brave for volunteering for that girl."

The Siren looked at her sadly and shook her head. She then placed a hand on her shoulder and said, "You are the strong one Katniss. You just have yet to see it."

She smiled. Katniss pitied the girl. In her mind she knew she wouldn't last in the arena if there was no water for her to hide in. Even then she had no fighting abilities or strength in weaponry, to the mockingjay's knowledge. Katniss did agree with Haymitch though, Kailani was intelligent.

"I'll teach you how to shoot a bow if you teach me how to make a fish hook."

"No need, I am strong. But I will teach you if you'd like to learn." Kailani chuckled." I do want to watch though. I hear you never miss your target."

Katniss smiled, said deal and learned how to make a fish hook. Finnick saw this and smiled at his fiancé. She was always a good teacher and loved to help others. He could remember that she never got frustrated with him while she taught him her native language; but she would always laugh at him.

"Finally put a ring on her finger huh?" Joana joked. That made Finnick quickly look at Kailani's wedding finger to see she didnt turn the ring around.

"Oh uh excuse me Joana." Finnick said as he walked quickly to where Katniss and Kai were.

"Kai, sweetheart."

"Hm?"

" The ring."
