A Night out

Chapter 7

Riker and Rocky lead me back to their house where the rest of the family was. Once we were there we got into the family van and headed to our destination. Once we got out of the car I was finally able to tell where we were. They had decided to bring me to play lazer tag. Once we were inside we divided up into two teams of three. I was on a team with Rocky and Rydel against the team of Riker, Ryland and Ellington. We went into the range and Rocky quickly explained how to play to me before we split up to play the game. When our time was up both of our teams ended up having exactly the same score. We all got back into the van to head to another unknown destination.

“Nici why did the boys insist we do something with you tonight?”

“Did the boys tell you about what I told them in the studio?”

“Yeah, it was okay right?”

“Yeah, well the reason they wanted to do this is because Natti thinks that i made the whole thing up, because she's friends with Aiden. I called Rocky and Riker today after I got home because she said something. And thank you both of you for doing this.”

“No problem, but this is only the beginning.”

“You mean theres more?”

“Yup you're getting a full R5 cheer up.”

“Don’t worry Nici only Riker and Rocky know the whole plan.”

“And that’s supposed to make me feel better? what if they planned something ridiculous.”

“Hey we take offence to that we are just trying to make you feel better.”

“I know, I still love you Riker.”

“Love you too sis.”

“Hey what about me?”

“I love you too Rocky, just not the same way.”

“I would hope not. So you trust us?”

“Sure why not.”

Riker turned on the radio and we all started singing along to whatever song came on. When we finally arrived at our destination I was confused. The place looked like an old preformance house, only it was completely empty, so I knew they weren't doing a show. When I was led into the building however it was set up for a show. Riker, Rydel, Ellington and Ryland went backstage and Rocky took me into the house, and had me sit in the front row, dead center before going backstage. Shortly after Rocky went backstage Ryland came out and sat next to me, as R5 took the stage.

“So Nici we figured you needed some cheering up so this is all for you.”

“Now for our sound check it will just be you, and then Ryland is going to announce the concert is open to anyone to come.

“But the show will be dedicated to our little sister.”

“And my girlfriend.”

R5 ran through their sound check and Ryland sent out the tweet for the fans. After sound check Ryland went to let the fans in and then went backstage. I ended up sitting next to a girl who was in love with Rocky and had to keep quiet because we hadn’t gone public with our relationship yet. R5 came out on stage and Ross started talking.

“So this concert is special. It’s for a good friend of ours who needs some cheering up.”

They played a lot of their older songs including the ones off of their EP Ready Set Rock, After a few songs they stopped and Riker started to talk.

“These next two songs are by our amazing sister I hope you all enjoy.”

Rydel took the stage and sang her two songs Never and Love Me Like That. Rydel went back to her keyboard and they played some of their songs off of LOUDER.  Next to speak was Rocky.

“So this next song is Crazy 4 U, and I’d like to dedicate it to my beautiful girlfriend, Nici I love you.”

They played Crazy 4 U and Rocky kept eye contact with me through the whole song. They played some more songs and ended the show with If I Can’t Be With You. After the show was over everyone left and Ryland came and took me backstage with the rest of the band.

“So Nici what did you think?”

“I loved it thank you so much.”

“your welcome.”

We went back to the Lynch’s house and the boys all insisted that I stay so that we could have a movie night, so I texted Liz to make sure it was okay. Once i got the okay Rocky gave me a shirt and Rydel gave me a pair of shorts to sleep in.The boys pulled down all the couch cushions and got all the blankets and pillows from their beds to make one giant bed on the living room floor. We all laid down on the makeshift bed, I ended up between Riker and Rocky, and started the first movie.

“So Nici did we help cheer you up?"

“You did.”
