Mick picked up Lauren from the bathroom floor. "Honey, come on. We have to go." He said in a soft voice.

"No, we don't. I can just stay here."

"No, you can't. You're coming with me. I'll bring you home."

"No, I don't want to go home."

"You want to crash at my place?"

Lauren nodded off again. "Shit. Darling, come on. Wake up. You can sleep in the car."

Lauren woke up. She looked up at Mick with tear filled eyes. "I know." He said. "Let's go."

Mick got Lauren to the car. He made her sit down on the front seat.

"Sammy! Come here." He asked one of the older students.

"Hey, what's up." He said.

"Would you mind watching her? I have to go and find my other passenger."

"Sure, no problem. Is she all right?"

"Yeah. She just had a rough couple of days."

"Okay."

Mick went to get Tom. Sam kneeled next to Lauren.

"You're handsome." She said, her eyes still watery.

Sam smiled. "Thank you. You're not ugly yourself."

"No, I'm not pretty." Lauren said.

"Well, I beg to differ." Sam said. He could see she wasn't okay.

"No, I'm not. People leave me, I wouldn't live with me either."

"Well, Mick is really fond of you, isn't he?"

Lauren looked at him. She smiled. "I like you. You're just like him. Calm, big, sweet and comfy."

"Well thank you."

Lauren and Sam sat in silence for a bit before Mick returned with Tom. Tom looked sleepy. Mick put him in the backseat. He instantly dozed off.

"Thanks, Sam."

"You're welcome."

"She okay?"

"Don't know. She was rambling a bit. I tried to keep her awake."

"Great, thank you. But it's okay. She just overdid it."

"Okay, well, let me know If you need my help."

"Well, would you mind terribly helping me get them to my place?"

"No problem."

Sam and Mick got in. Mick was driving. Sam sat next to Tom, who was out cold. The drive to Mick's house was about half an hour long.

After twenty minutes Lauren spoke. "Mick?"

"Yeah, darling."

"Could you stop the car?"

"Why? We're almost home."

"I don't think I can make it till we get home."

"What's the matter?"

"Mick, I really think you need to stop the car." Sam said.

Mick stopped the car. Sam got out and helped Lauren out. Just as they got to the side of the road, Lauren threw up.

"Lauren, let's get over here." Sam took her to the side of the road near the green.

Lauren leant over, and threw up in the bushes. She fell down and threw up again.

"It's okay, let it out." Sam said as he held her arm and got her hair out of her face.

After five minutes Lauren fell into Sam's arms and started shaking.

"You ready to go?" He said.

She nodded and tried to get up.

"Here, let me help." Sam said. He picked her up and carried her to the car. Mick had woken up Tom and got him to sit in the front. Sam got in the backseat with Lauren.

The last ten minutes of the drive Lauren started shaking and pulled away from Sam.

"Lauren?" Mick said from the driver's seat. "You okay?"

"Fine." Lauren said in a soft voice.

The car pulled up the driveway which led to a great estate. Mick put the car near the front steps and opened the front door.

"Let's go." Sam said to Lauren.

Lauren looked at him with watery eyes. She was still shaking. "No, I don't want to. I have to get my bag."

"Sure, here it is." Sam said.

Lauren took the bag. Got the little vile of coke out and snorted it completely. Sam watched the scene, unable to move.

"Shit."

"I'm ready." Lauren got up, held on to Sam and went inside. Tom followed.

"Just sit them down on a couch."

Tom lay down on the biggest sofa in the room, near a big TV. He pulled a warm blanket over himself and passed out. Lauren took another comfortable couch and laid her head down on Sam. Before she passed out she said something about stomach pain and backstage at a concert.

"Thank you, Sam." Mick said as he covered Lauren's skimpy outfit with some blankets. He also put a shirt of his next to her, so she could wear it if she got cold.

"You're welcome. I hope they'll be okay in the morning."

"They will. They need some rest. Do you want me to get someone to drive you home?"

"That would be great." Sam said.

As soon as Sam left, Mick went to bed. It's been a long and tiring day. He had a busy schedule for the next morning. He had to welcome the band for the new year's party he was giving that weekend.
