24. After party gone wrong

Lauren made her way backstage to Joe's dressing room. She knew he kept a bottle of Jack in it, for "emergencies". She took out the bottle and drank half of it before returning to the sound stage.

Slowly she stumbled to the sound stage where she lit a cigarette and sat next to Mick again, who had his arm around his girlfriend. The rest of the show Lauren sat and watched her friend. She kept falling in and out of consciousness. Until she finally laid her head against Mick, whose girlfriend shot her dirty looks.

Just before the last song ended the trio made their way backstage. When the band came of stage they all headed to the main dressing room, which was more of a living room than a stadium locker room.

Mick and his girlfriend started talking to Tom, who had been friends with the both of them for ages. Joey and Brad both went to get changed while Joe and his wife sat in a corner of the room. Steven sat down on the couch, towel in his neck drinking water. Lauren walked in, still tipsy from her binging, she sat down next to Steven. He put an arm around her.
"You okay baby? Did you enjoy the show?"
"The Show was great."
"You disappeared for a few songs. I missed you. I sang a song for you."
"I just went to the bathroom and wanted to see the show backstage. Eventually I just went back to the sound area. "
'I don't judge. I'm not your father. I just care for you."
"I got to get something to drink. I'll be back."

Lauren walked to the catering. She finished the bottle of vodka she had opened. She didn't feel like going back to the band, so she walked to Steven's dressing room. She laid down on the couch and closed her eyes.

When she opened them again Steven was in the room. He was changing and talking to his manager. When Steven saw Lauren he knew she had been drinking. He also knew he had to hide his secret stash of coke.

Lauren got up, made her way to the bathroom and threw up. When Lauren got out of the bathroom, Steven wasn't in his dressing room. To make sure he couldn't see she had been drinking she sat down at Steven's vanity table to freshen up. She opened a drawer an applied some mascara and eyeliner. Then the opened another drawer, and found the cocaine. She made a few lines and snorted them fast, one after the other.

Before Steven returned, Lauren passed out on the couch.
