“Well, I’m not going to do anything. It’s her problem and she didn’t ask for help.” Joe said.

“Maybe she’s too scared to ask for help.” Steven said.

“Whatever dude. It’s your choice.” Joe said.

“I guess it is.” Steven said and he walked back to Lauren. He said down on the bed, leaning against the headboard. He looked over. Lauren was sleeping.

Mick walked in the room. “She asleep?”

“Yeah, she went straight to bed when she came back. She’s been a sleep ever since.” Steven told him.

“Good. Shouldn’t you guys get back to rehearsals?”

“I guess we should.” Joe said. He and the other guys walked back to the ballroom.

“I’m coming.” Steven said.

“So, Mick. Did you know she’s doing drugs?”

“Yeah. I heard it last night. Tom told me.”

“How bad is it, really?”

“Don’t know actually. I think bad.”

“Can I tell you something?” Steven asked.

“Sure.” Mick said. “Let’s sit down first okay?”

Steven and Mick sat down. Lauren turned around. She was starting to wake up and heard the guys talking.

“So, what is it you want to tell me?” Mick asked Steven.

“Well, two nights ago, the boys and me went out on the town. We went to a disco bar. We were enjoying our night and when we were about to leave, we saw this guy attacking a woman. We went over to them and the guy ran off. The woman’s clothes were torn apart. She was shaking, she couldn’t really stand on her own. We talked to her for a bit before we found out where she lived. So we took her home in our limousine. I brought her to her apartment in to her bedroom and left.” Steven paused.

“So?” Mick asked. “What is the problem?”

“It was Lauren. We brought her home, but she doesn’t realize.”

“Wow. Really?” Mick was surprised. “I’m sorry. I don’t know what to say?”

“Well, before I left her that night, she asked my name. I told her, but she had already passed out.” Steven sounded hurt.

It was Steven? Really? How could I forget? I know that pills and alcohol don’t mix, but how can I forget that Steven Tyler brought me home?

Lauren moved around on the bed. Steven and Mick stopped talking.

“Hello sleepyhead?” Mick said and walked over to Lauren.

Lauren looked at Mick. She was feeling sick and she had a headache.

“You okay? Want some water?”

“Bucket.” Lauren managed to say. Steven got the trashcan from the corner of the room and gave it to Lauren. Just when she got hold of the trashcan Lauren threw up. Mick stroked her hair out of her face and rubbed her neck. Steven got some water.

After a little while Lauren fell against the headboard. Steven gave her the bottle and she took small sips.

“I remember.” Lauren said.

“What do you remember honey?” Mick asked.

“I remember who brought me home sunday.” She said in nothing but a whisper.

“Who was it?” Steven asked pretending he did not know.
