As time went by, Lauren still hadn't changed into any clothes. Mick had said he had laid out some of his old clothes and she could change in his room but she didn't move. Steven still had his arm around her. I really should change, I mean, my hair is dry, my body is dry, this towel is just getting cold. She shivered.
"You cold?" Steven asked, letting the conversation be the conversation.
"A bit." Lauren said.
"Give me a sec." Steven said as he got up. After a minute he came back with a blanket.
"Here you are." He put the blanket over Lauren her legs.
"You okay now?"
Lauren put her head back on Steven's chest. He put an arm around her and Lauren snuggled into him even more.
"Wow, she's into you." Joey said.
"I guess." Steven said.
"We have to get ready for the show." Joe said on a more serious note.
"We do, but I can't leave her here like this."
"You can, she's not your responsibility." Tom said
"You don't know what she's been through." Steven said a bit more stern than he wanted.
"You're right. We'll just get going." Brad said. "You can join us when you're ready."
I'm holding him up. I have to get dressed. I don't want to. He's so comfortable. His heartbeat is calm. If I close my eyes I'm out. Lauren closed her eyes. Steven kissed her on the head, to see if she was still awake. When he figured she was asleep he got up. Putting her head on a pillow and covering her with the blanket and jacket. "Sweet dreams." He whispered.
After what seemed like hours, Lauren woke up. What the hell? Why am I wearing a towel? Slowly Lauren got up, remembering what happened. She moved upstairs looking for her clothes. She found a room in which clothes were laid out on the bed. Slowly she got dressed. These are mans clothes. I guess they are Mick's. She got dressed. Where's everybody?
Lauren walked out of the room, following the sound of music. She found the guys in a big room at the back of the house. They were playing music and shouting to each other. Lauren left to get her purse. She dove in to find the bottle of coke. I need more. I should call my dealer. Where's my phone? O, shit, I need my charger. Lauren plugged in her phone. Before she called her dealer she made sure she was alone. She ordered her usual. A dozen tubes of cocaine and some liquid heroin. The dealer would be at the gasstation nearby in fifteen minutes. Lauren put on the jacket she had on before she got dressed.
"Where are you going?" a voice said.
"To get some smokes." Lauren said turning around to see the guy.
"You sure you're up for that?"
"I just need to get out of the house. And the gasstation is only 10 minutes away." Lauren answered.
"That's right." Joe said. "Bring me back some?" and he threw her some money.
"Sure, what kind?"
"Here you go." And he threw her an empty packed.
"Don't tell anybody where I've gone okay? I just need some quiet time.
"Sure." And he left.
Lauren stepped outside, the cold air cut her face like a knife. Just 10 more minutes and she got her fix. Just ten more minutes and she started walking.
