- FLASHBACK -
kevins pov

as we were running, there was gun shots. neither of us looked back to see if one of us got shot.

i was hoping and praying to God none of my boys got shot.

I looked back and saw....

i saw roddy on the ground. he fell. they were catching up to him. my bro. or my life. i decided to go back for him. i ran hella fast to him and threw him over my shoulder.

i remembered i had a gun in my back pocket. arianna gave it to me just in case something like this happened on our way home. she knew i would be responsible with it unlike the boys.

i grabbed it while running. i pointed the gun at John. i lost control and shot him. his gang ran out of bullets and ran like rats on the titanic. gah zamn what did i...bro. did i kill him. i don't even know.

devin and daniel were far far ahead. i still had roddy over my shoulder. man he was heavy. we finally got far enough. devin and daniel ran inside and opened the door for me.

i put roddy down on the table. i couldn't believe this. he got shot. his arm sleeve was drenched in blood. im glad it wasn't his heart or any other important part.

bro. i couldn't breathe. he looked pale. i started crying right there.

"bro...b-bro...!" I said stuttering.

"oh my god. brooo! roddy!" yelled daniel.

"no no no...! this cannot..!" said devin while trying to contain himself.

i immediately got my phone and called 911. they came over in a flash. they took him in an ambulance. we couldn't go inside because it was too crowded with the medicals.

what is ari gonna say. i really hope my dude is good. i thank God for making me go back and get him. he's alive because of me. if i didn't go back he probably would've been dead.

Daniel lost it after a while. roddy was really close to us. We've been close friends since 7th grade.

it was now 2 AM. we all hopped in devin's car and left to the hospital.

he was at the same hospital that Ari was at. it's horrible to be back here. again.

daniels pov

i can't believe my bro is in the hospital. i can't. why is everyone i love getting hurt. thank god kevin went back. i wasn't even paying attention to whoever was behind me. i just kept running for my life, for my girl.

i told Devin and kevin to go inside the hospital while i pick up my girly. i dropped off the boys and went to Ari's house. it was 4 am now. i think she would be mad if I wasn't doing this right now.

i arrived at her house. i rang the doorbell five times. nothing. her mom was on a business trip so im fine.

i climbed up to her window. i told her to always lock her window. hopefully she didn't at this moment. fortunately it was unlocked.

i walked inside and saw my baby sleeping, so cute. i went around her bed to see her face.

i really didn't wanna wake her up. especially at 4 am. my baby needs to continue her beauty sleep.

i went closer and realized she was having a dream. a bad one.

"stop STOP ahh! don't hurt my boys!!" she screamed. she started kicking.

i rushed to her and put my hands on her. "Babe babe baby!!" i yelled. big mistake. she opened her eyes a little screamed and punched me.

i gasped and bent down to the floor holding my stomach. man that hurt. she realized it was me and got up really quick and went by my side.

"Oh my god!!! Baby!! I'm so sorry I didn't know. Omg omg baby." she said while crying.

i groaned and surprisingly spit out "baby...calm down it's okay."

she cried while i held her and my stomach on the floor. i rubbed her head. she was still crying. she was scared about what happened in her dream.

i let go of my stomach and hugged her till she calmed down. "Shh..shhh....it's okay babygirl, you're okay, I'm okay."

"wait babe why are you at 4:38 am? are you okay?" she said worried looking into my eyes.

i looked away not daring to make eye contact. she turned my face and sat on my lap facing me.

"what's wrong?" she said in a sad voice.

"John...and his gang...went after us after we left from here, and--" i said before getting cut off.

"WHAT?" she said very loudly.

"and roddy got..." i didn't finish saying it. i couldn't. tears ran down my cheeks. im such a wimp.

i wipped them really fast.

"oh my god...roddy what!" she said impatiently whirl starting to cry.

"he got shot." i finished saying before i broke down. we both cried in eachh others arms.

she was sobbing so badly. she couldn't breathe. she got up and punched the wall and hurt herself. she then threw herself  and slid down the wall she punched.

"Babe!!' What the fu*k! why did you do that?!" i said screaming at her.

i went to her and held her tightly as she continued to cry.

after a while it was 5 am.

"babygirl, Kevin and Devin are in the hospital with Roddy, let's go." I said while grabbing her hand and going outside to the car.

we arrived to the hospital and saw Devin and Kevin.

Ari went up to Kevin and hugged him so tight. he held her head close to his chest. they've gotten to know each other and they're like bestfriends.

ari went to devin after 5 minutes of hugging kevin. she hugged him a lot too. he's like an older brother to her.

we stayed in the waiting room till we were allowed to go inside to see roddy.
