Dean X Reader--Roller Coaster

Imagine you and Dean going to an amusement park, and he takes you on your first roller coaster (high school!AU).

The impala hums as it sits in line outside Cedar Point. Dean taps his fingers on the wheel to the beat of the Metallica cassette playing. He slides the car up when the one in front of him moves forward.

"I have a confession," you start, recieving a side eye from Dean.

"Uh oh."

"I have never been on a real roller coaster before."

He turns to look at you in shock. "No way! How have you never been on a roller coaster?"

You shrug. "I don't think the log ride counts."

"Man, and I thought I was the one with the deprived childhood. Are scared?" He moves the impala up another spot.

"Well, not yet, but when I see them...I don't know. So, let's not go on one of the super scary ones."

"Not even the gatekeeper or the valravn?"

You punch his shoulder. "Have you seen those? They're terrifying. I made a list of the not so scary ones."

"Of course you made a list. When we get there, you can choose the first ride, but then I'm making you go on one of my choice."

You give in worriedly. "Fine. Just not the super scary ones ok?"

When you finally get through the line and find a place to park, the two of you walk to the front entrance. A faint rumbling grows louder and louder as you join yet another line to get in. Screams fill your ears as the rumbling shudders the ground. The roller coaster above your head zooms over the throng of people, flipping upside down and going through a keyhole like structure.

"What the hell is that ride?"

Dean laughs. "That, my girl, is The Gatekeeper."

At the end of the line, you give the employee your ticket and push through the bars, meeting Dean on the other side. The harsh sun beats down on the concrete and heat waves swim through the air. Faint screams and roaring roller coasters are ever-present as you and Dean formulate a plan.

"Ok, so on my list, I have the Mean Streak which looks fun. There's also the Corkscrew, but I wanna do that later. It goes upside down and I'm not ready for that—"

He rolls his eyes with a sigh. "Just pick one and I'll take you to it."

"Uh, how about the Blue Streak?"

Wrapping an arm around you shoulder, Dean smiles. "Alright. Let's do it."

He leads you through the maze of sidewalks and by many high speed rides. A green one blasts past, by far the loudest in the park. People scream as they zoom over a loop, kicking their feet in the air.

"Oh my god! What's that? It looks terrible!"

Dean stops to watch them thunder by again. "That's the Raptor. I've only been on it once before."

Walking around the Raptor, you come across the sign reading "Blue Streak". Dean shows you to the line and walks right up to the front.

"It's weird that the line's so short. I thought it was really busy here."

"Nah, today's not as busy as usual. Plus, this is a kinda lame ride."

You elbow him as you watch the car pull out. They travel around the hut and up a large hill.

"Oh my god. That's so high...I can't do this."

Taking you by the shoulders, Dean turns you away. "Don't watch it. You'll only psyche yourself out."
