Hey guys! I know this chapter is short but I will be uploading another chapter by this weekend! Enjoy!

Felix's POV

As the demon prince vanished into the shadows I pushed myself up, the pain that ripped through me was unbearable. I collapsed back to the ground, a hiss of pain escaping through my broken fangs.

"OPEN THE GODDAMN DOOR, DAMON!" Kimberley screeched as she beat the door. "OPEN IT BEFORE I BREAK IT DOWN!"

I just laid there. There was no point getting up. Once Kimberley saw that I had let him escape to The Girl of Legend's side I would receive another beating, one much worse than the one I had just received.

A sizzle of magick floated around the room until the two large doors that stood as a barrier between the she-devil and I exploded until little chunks of mulch. She stormed into the room, a current of red whipping around her as she let out her harsh magick.

"Where is he?" she asked, her voice cold and cruel.

"Obviously not here," I mumbled as I rolled in on myself, waiting to receive a punishment for my 'sass' as she liked to call it.

"So he left to go to the Faerie Kingdom?" Kimberley asked as her heels clicked closer to me. I braced myself, letting out a small whimper. I couldn't take any more pain, it was hard enough not to faint from the pain as it was.

She stepped over me and kept walking until she stood next to the shadows. "Good work my servant. Now everything is falling into place." She laughed as slowly the shadows began to stretch, coiling around her legs and body as she was consumed by the darkness until I could no longer feel her presence in the room.

I just laid there on the floor, shocked and somewhat confused at what just happened. She had ordered me not to tell Damon of the Girl of Legend's location. But when I got the shit beat out of me and blurted out her location she commended me?

"I need to find a new job," I sighed before I blacked out into oblivion.

Unknown POV

"He's at the location, Prince." Kim smiled as she placed a smooth hand onto my chest. "Now, where's my reward?" she purred into my ear.

I reached into my pocket and brought out the orange-sized sapphire. She gasped as she swiped it out of my hands and reveled at the power of it.

"I can feel my magic growing by the second!" She murmured in awe.

"That's wonderful." I smiled, before gripping her throat in my hands. "Now explain to me how The Girl of Legend ended up in the Faerie Kingdom while I especially asked for her to be brought to the Shadow Kingdom?" I asked calmly as I slowly began squeezing her neck tighter.

She gasped, dropping the sapphire to pull and claw at my hand. "Please, my prince! I didn't get there in time!"

"Alicia and Cassimere set everything up perfectly for you! How were you not ready?" I kept my demeanor calm but inside I felt my anger begin to boil out of control.

If thissss petty bitch doesssssn't ssstop messsssing up, ssshe might end up dead sssooner rather than later. - my second in command hissed. I noticed his form in the shadows watching us, evil, yellow eyes watching from the shadows as I reprimanded my foolish toy.

"I-I got caught up!" She finally wheezed out. I released my grip on her throat causing her to tumble down to the ground choking and coughing to regain her lost oxygen.

"By what?"

"Alex, he, he said he had a premonition!" Kim said as she pushed herself up on shaking legs, a bit of blood began to trickle down her face from the fall she just had.

I inhaled, the scent of blood calling to me like a siren. I felt my fangs drop and my claws descend, but I refrained myself. This girl was not a virgin, her blood would do nothing to sedate my thirst.

"Funny, I don't remember him saying anything about having the power of premonition to me." I remarked as I stepped away from her and back onto my dark ebony throne. "Do you know what happens to liars in my kingdom, Kimberley?"

Her eyes widened as she took in the moving shadows of the insidians that raced along my black walls and between the flickers of the flames that lit my Kingdom. Their moans filled the castle as their dead eyes began to appear closer and closer to Kimberley.

"It appears they are hungry." I remarked as I leaned back in my chair. "Nothing tastes better to them than a sinful soul."

Kimberley rushed over to my throne, dropping herself before my feet. "Please! I'm not lying! He said, that there would be a war soon! And the victorious will be the one born from the shadows!"

I felt myself smile before a barking laugh filled my dead Kingdom. "Bring Alex to me, if you speak the truth then your life will be spared." I waved my hand as Alicia appeared.

"Yes, Prince Kai?" Her childish figure appeared.

"Please escort Kim to the pit."

Kim's eyes widened as her mouth dropped. Alicia gave a swift nod before grabbing Kim's arm and tugging her shocked form away.

"What? No! Prince Kai! Please! I can fix this! Just give me another chance! Please!" Her calls rang through the halls. "Please! Don't send me to the pit!"

I sighed. "She should just be grateful I didn't have her consumed by the insidians." I murmured to Ray, my second in command.

"They do appear hungry, my prince. Would you like me to take them to the human realm to sedate their hunger?"

"No, not yet." I smiled as everything seemed to be falling into place. "First I must go and introduce myself to my soon-to-be-Queen."

I stood and made to leave.

"Kai,"

I turned, a bit surprised at Ray's call.

"Yes?"

"Be on your guard. It is you that is to play her, not the other way around. Remember what your father-"

"Don't bring him up! And I wouldn't be so foolish to fall for a simple girl! Love is not welcome in this dead heart of mine!" I spat, my eyes blazing as I took the sword from my belt and slashed the nearest insidian, its blood and cries of pain relieving my frustrations.

I smiled, the splattered blood that speckled my face felt soothing to my tortured soul. Ray just stood there, his dead eyes unblinking as he took in my form.

"Do not bring my father up again." I smiled sweetly. "And the next time you call my judgment into question, it will be you who spends a night in the pit with the rest of the trash!"

Ray nodded before I descended into the shadows making my way towards what would soon be the beginning of the war.
