Luke POV
I'm looking around the kitchen, thinking about breakfast, when Doc comes in with Sang and grabs a water from the fridge. As he hands her a pill and the water he says with a little pout, "Erica wasn't home this morning, I was hoping for one of her breakfasts. What do you have in mind. Luke?"
I smirk and look at Sang. This is my chance to see what this girl is made of. "Well, we could have..."
"HELL no!" North bellows from just down the hall in the dining room. "You are not corrupting her, Luke!" His voice gets louder as he gets closer to the kitchen. He bursts in and glares at me.
Sang hides a little behind Doc but he just smiles down at her.
I put my hands up in resignation with a pout on my face.
Sang peeks her head around Doc and speaks just over a whisper, "How about we have my favorite breakfast today, and yours tomorrow, Luke? Is that okay North?"
North looks down at her wide green eyes and his frown melts. Oh! She has got him wrapped around her little finger already!
"Okay. BUT we are adding bacon, eggs, and fruit to yours," he thunders at me. "I know what it is already and you can't eat that alone for breakfast."
I bounce a little on my toes and rip a notepad off of the fridge. "I'll write mine down and you write yours down and we can trade! Okay? It's like a game... This is so exciting." North just rolls his eyes at me.
She grins at me and takes the piece of paper I hold out. Doc blocks my view of her as she is writing. She turns back and folds the paper in half slowly as she smiles up at me. I catch my breath and beam back at her.
I grab the paper out of her hand and replace it with mine. I open it and read, 'chocolate chip pancakes.' I laugh and start doing a victory dance. I chest bump North and he looks at me with confusion. So I "HA!" in his face. He gets a thunderous expression and snatches the paper from me. "NO WAY!" he yells. "You set this shit up! There is no way her favorite breakfast is the same as yours!"
I look over and see that Sang hasn't looked at the paper yet. Apparently she had been staring dumfounded at us because she let out a little, "oh," and lifts the paper and opens it. Then she let out a peal of laughter. We all stopped to look at her. She is so beautiful when she laughs.
She settles down into little giggles and Doc chuckles at her. "Hey now, Pookie" he says in a warning tone. She looks up at him with mirth in her eyes but clamps her lips shut. I wonder what that was about.

Gabriel POV
I can't stand it anymore. I can hear her laughing in the kitchen and I want more time with her. I walk down the hall and into the kitchen, right up to her, and look down into her amused green eyes.
"Alright, enough play time! Start cooking, goofballs. I'm going to fix her outfit."
Doc leans in and whispers into my ear. "Make the shirt black" I look up at him but his face is blank. What the fuck? She looks terrible in black. Fine, she looks perfect even with messed up hair in North's shirt. But it still makes me wonder.
She takes my outstretched hand and follows me into the hall. "Gabriel? It is alright. I don't need different clothes. These are fine."
I stop and look down at her. She came with me willingly, so she isn't afraid to be alone with me. She just seems to not want to bother me. Ha!
