EDI and Liara pushed Shepard into her bathroom. Sighing, Shepard turned around as they stared at her expectantly. "I'm just going to wear my dress blues," she informed them.
Liara shook her head. "Black tie required."
"Fine, I'll wear a suit."
"It would be a safe assumption to say that Major Alenko will be the person wearing a suit," EDI pointed out.
"I don't think I'd mind him wearing a dress so long as I wear the suit."
Liara laid the large black bag on the sink counter and then looked at Shepard expectantly. When Shepard did nothing, she ordered, "Take off your clothes."
Trying to hide her surprise, Shepard snorted, "Shouldn't you buy a girl a drink first- maybe a few shots of whiskey?"
To say that Liara wasn't amused was an understatement. "Really, Shepard? Is that all Kaidan had to do to get you to take your clothes off?"
Damn. Aboard the SR-1, Liara would never had said that.
"Fine, fine, fine," Shepard muttered, slipping her boots off followed by her pants and shirt. When EDI and Liara just stared at her, she colored a little on her cheeks. "What?"
"That is not regulation Alliance underclothes. Those can neither provide the necessary support nor the durability needed for an active duty Alliance officer in the middle of a war," EDI intoned.
Shepard pursed her lips as Liara looked her over. "I didn't peg you for black lace, Shepard."
"I wasn't exactly anticipating being stripped down," she muttered, wishing that their eyes would stop looking her over.
Liara shook her head and unzipped the bag on the counter to reveal a puddle of blue and gold material. It took a minute, but Shepard started shaking her head, holding her hands up as to repel an attack.
"No. There is no way in hell that I'm going to put that on," Shepard informed them.
"Shepard," Liara pleaded.
"The last time I wore a dress- less than six hours ago-, I ended up dropping through an aquarium floor and being shot at. No."
She crossed her arms under her chest and just continued to shake her head when she realized that someone new had entered her bathroom. It wasn't as though she had a psychic connection to said person, but she could feel the distinct hum of his biotics.
Shepard looked over to him and gave a small smile from his look- also to where his eyes were wandering.
That had been the intention of buying and wearing the lace bras and panties.
Just not while two other people were with them.
"Kaidan," she greeted, loving the heat of his eyes, as she lowered her arms.
He didn't respond for a moment before he tore his eyes from her bare skin and back to her face. "Hope," he murmured before shaking his head as though to clear it. "Shepard, I hear you're putting a bit of a fight against wearing a dress."
"How?" At his confused expression, she elaborated, "How do you know?"
"Tali told me."
Ah.
Liara had anticipated her resistance and had sent Tali to recruit Kaidan in their favor.
Cheaters.
"Do you remember what happened the last time I wore a dress?" she demanded, fighting the urge to cross her arms again- she needed him to focus.
Kaidan's eyes flashed as he nodded. "Of course."
"And yet you're okay with me wearing a dress while you won't be any more armored or protected than me?"
From the corner of her eye, she could see Liara growing increasingly worried about Kaidan's resolve.
Kaidan stepped forward and rested a hand on her bare hip. Leaning forward, he whispered, "Hope, give me this. Put on the dress."
Shepard clenched her fists and shook her head. "Don't make me do this, Kaidan."
"Hope," he insisted, his breath warm against her ear forcing a shiver down her spine, "it's all just part of the mission. And," he paused long enough to take a nip at her ear, "I'll even help you take it off."
That was cheating.
With his warm caramel voice in her ear coupled with his warm breath, was it any wonder that heat was pooling in her nether-regions?
"Kaidan," she whispered, closer to a moan.
"Say yes, Hope."
"Yes," she whimpered.
"Louder," he insisted.
"Yes," she said more loudly so that EDI and Liara could hear.
"Good girl," he murmured, "just remember to keep the bra and panties on, I want to take those off too." He pressed a kiss onto her neck before stepping away. "I'll see you later, Shepard," he said loudly enough for everyone to hear.
How unfair was that?
Leaving her in a pile of raging estrogen as he left to go put on his clothes.
Liara watched her with pursed lips and an unreadable expression on her face.
Irritated?
Jealous?
Shepard didn't know- didn't honestly care at that point.
"Okay," Liara said, pulling her out of her reverie, "time to get you dressed."
