Percy was nervous. Like, really frickin' nervous. He hadn't been on a date in while, the last one being with some girl with a weird name. (Caliso, Calina, Calyp- You know what, it's doesn't matter). The point is, Percy was freaking out. Internally, of course. He wasn't running around the coffee shop and screaming his head off. Hey, maybe that's a good id-.

"Hey Percy," Annabeth greeted him.

Percy looked up, so lost in thought that he hadn't even noticed she had come in. She looked absolutely radiant. Her wavy blonde hair was up in a braided bun and she had on a simple white sun dress, with little daisies all over it. She had a small woven purse and simple leather sandals. To Percy, Annabeth didn't need a fancy dress or lots of makeup to be beautiful. She just needed herself. To Percy, she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.

"H-Hey," he stuttered out, clumsily getting up and pulling out her chair for her. "How are you?"

"I'm good," Annabeth replied," A little tired, from yesterday." She gave a little laugh, and even that simple thing blew Percy away. It sounded like a bird song, perfectly melodious and pleasant. He was so whipped.

Percy looked down at his own clothes and felt underdressed in his casual button up and khaki jeans. He felt like a shrub next to a beautiful blooming flower. But, he put those feelings aside and began to talk to Annabeth.

The two chatted for a little while, but then Annabeth's stomach growled. Her hand flew up to her mouth and she chuckled again, Percy blushing just by the sound of it. He offered to get them something to eat from the quaint little shop, and- through vigorous objection from Annabeth- paid for it all. He got a blueberry scone and she got a pb&j. They shared a lemonade. With the sun shining in, the soft music from the speakers in the shop, and Annabeth looking like an angel, Percy felt as if he was in heaven.

After a while, the two had gotten bored of the coffee shop setting and decided to take a walk. They wandered around, talking and laughing. Percy was having the time of his life. Eventually, Annabeth wanted to stop at a little thrift shop called Twice is Nice. Percy- being a nice friend- walked in with her and sat and gave feedback on every outfit she tried on. The two had a riotous time because Annabeth would sometimes try on some very silly things and it would them over the edge. They would be bent over with their arms clutched around their stomachs from laughing so hard. Annabeth finally paid for three of the many outfits she tried on.

"Hey, Annabeth?" Percy inquired."Next time we have another little coffee shop date, I want to see you in one of those outfits."

Annabeth blushed then said,"You don't own me, mister, but we'll see."

Then she walked out, leaving Percy smiling softly to himself, wondering just what the hell he had gotten himself in to.

After another hour or two of wandering around, the pair decided it was time to get some more food.

"I have the perfect place!" Annabeth said, her eyes lighting up. "Its an In-N-Out really close to the beach. The beach is small, but no one usually goes at night. If there's leftover firewood, we can even start a small bonfire while we eat and watch the sunset. Come on, it'll be perfect!"

Percy couldn't say no to those big, pleading grey eyes. Plus, she made a good argument.

"Alright," he relented,"Let's go!"

A/N- Hey everyone, I'm really sorry for the long delay. I'll hopefully have the continuation of this chapter up soon. I've been really busy with school, as it is ending in 3 days. My teachers have not let up the workload at all. But, it's ending soon, thank god! That means I'll probably have more time to write.

As a reminder, I am going to Vidcon, so if anyone is going, PM and we can meet up or something! That would be so cool!

Also, as a side note, I have a story that I wrote for English, and I was wondering if anyone of you would like to read it? It's in Arthurian times and has a pretty interesting plot and base, I think. It has the whole Hero's Journey, and plot devices and all that jazz. It's pretty long, and if you're looking for something to read of mine, that would be a quick little short-story glimpse into what my writing is like for non-fanfiction writing! (Yes, that exists. I was just as surprised as you are.)

Anyways, sorry this got all self-promo-y, but hopefully the next chapter will be up soon!

Bye, my little fanpeoples!
