The day after their date, Percy's mind was reeling with memories from the night. His mind was going crazy, whirling with details and big moments, blending together in a fiery mix of over-analyzation and daydream imagining. He stumbled around his room once he woke and grabbed a random t-shirt and pants. He practically fell down the stairs to the kitchen, his thoughts from last night too much and too fast for his sleep-tinted brain.
"Nice shirt," Casey snickered as he wandered into the kitchen.
Percy looked down and saw that it was actually a button-up shirt he threw on, one his mom saved for special occasions.
"Shit," he muttered. The shirt did not go with joggers he had also grabbed. The ones that had;t been washed in a week.
Percy decided to ignore his sister's giggles and little comments about his outfit, instead working on his coffee and toast. Unlike his sister's jabs, he couldn't keep his mind off Annabeth. He swore he could almost still taste her lips from the kiss last night. He could almost feel the fire and hear the crackling sparks, and Annabeth's beautiful voice. Finally, he finished making his coffee and sat down at the table to have his breakfast. He spent his entire time at the table lost in a daydreaming world of him and Annabeth, imagining their future dates and the times they would spend together. Then, he decided that he would go over there today with some flowers, to surprise her.

He quickly finished his breakfast, then flew up the stairs towards his room. He grabbed a nice button down shirt and some black jeans, then his pair of Doc Martens and changed. On his way out the door he grabbed his wallet and his headphones, cursing when he hit something off his desk. He turned around to pick it back up before realizing what it was. It was a small stack of photos, polaroids taken of all of them. There were some shots of him and Annabeth, a shot of Holly kissing Casey's cheek in front of the castle, and even one of John and Holly playing around in Tomorrowland. These were given to him by Holly. He had totally forgotten that until now. He decided after he gave Annabeth her flowers, that he would come back and hang up on the polaroids on his wall. He glanced back at them one more time before rushing out again, the mere sight of their smiling faces bringing a smile to his own.

Percy finally arrived at the store after 10 minutes of walking. He browsed over the selection of flowers and decided on a mixed bouquet of pansies, all varying shades of yellow, orange, and red. It reminded him of the sunset of last night, and how beautiful Annabeth looked in that dress, with the sunset giving a perfect backdrop to her already goddess-like features.
He checked out, the entire time lost in his head. He couldn't get rid if thoughts of last night, of Annabeth, but it had already caused him some embarrassment. First with Casey, and now he forgot to respond to the clerk when she asked him for his card. He was standing there like an idiot for a whole minute before the lady in line behind him poked him and gestured towards the clerk, who was waiting with her palm up, annoyed and expectant of his card. He then had to fumble to get it and waste even more time doing so.
Thoughts of Annabeth were gone as he headed to her house, those of embarrassment filling his head instead. He almost missed her house entirely, walking right past it. He backtracked and eventually ended up right outside, clutching the bouquet in his hands. He walked up and knocked on the door. He heard some walk up and the sounds of conversation filled his ears.
"-do you think we can stop by my school before we get groceries? You still need to sign all my legal papers and stuff."
The door opened and Annabeth stood in the doorway, looking like she just woke up. She hadn't registered he had been standing there though, and was still turned around to yell back an answer.
"Yeah, sure Holly. I can sign all the legal stuff, as long as we can ice cream after!"
The two laughed and as Annabeth turned around her amused face went pale and her laugh faded.
Percy stood there utterly confused, with a sunset bouquet hanging off his arm and so many questions unanswered. Boy, was Annabeth in trouble.

A/N- Hey everyone, I'm so incredibly sorry that this update took so long. I've been away at Vidcon and then a week later I left for a 10-day long trip and now I'm just getting back into the swing of things, but here's your new chapter! Left you all with a cliffhanger, I know. Just makes you more excited for next time. Also, do you like my new theme on my account. I love it and I actually designed and made everything myself. The banner, my icon, the book covers, everything. I'm vv proud of myself, so I hope you are too! One last thing before I go, but would guys like to see a one-shot book. It'd be of all my ships and you guys could even request stuff for me to write, but I'd also be writing off prompts and stuff. I really like that idea, so I hope you will too. If you like it, comment your one-shot suggestion right here and I'll write it and tag you in the book- it can be from every one of my fandoms, check my profile for them.
Anyways, it's your favorite self promoting walnut signing off!
Bye, my little fanpeoples!
