After Mockingjay- Katniss and Peeta

Chapter 35: District 4

"It's so hot here in 4." I exclaim when i step out from the train.

"I love it!" Peeta comments as he takes my hand and our bags in the other.

He doesn't let me carry anything this time around, but in this case i don't want to. My back always hurt and i start to get bruisnes on my body.

"You sure you're alright carrying the bags, Peeta?" I ask him. I hate feeling helpless.

"Yes Katniss, i'm sure. I usually life heavier things at the bakery anyway." He chuckles and kisses my cheek.

Annie told us she would be waiting at the train station with her son and Finnick.

When we see her and she sees us she waves and call for us.

"Katniss!! Right here!"

We wave back and as soon ss we get there we get embraced my both Annie and Finnick.

"Well, you're defiently knocked up, girl on fire." Finnick jokes as i hug him and Peeta smiles proudly.

"Welcome to District 4!" Annie exclaims as she hugs us happily and Finnick jr. politely greets us.

"Hi Annie, we have missed you so much. This is Nathan. Peeta's brother." I introduce Nathan to Annie and Finnick.

"Hi. Nice to meet you." Nathan greets shakes their hands.

"Hi Nathan, welcome to Didstrict 4! Have you been here before?" Finnick asks politely while they shake hands.

"Yeah, but it has been a long time since. Just as warm and beautifil as i remember." He answers and Finnick smiles back at him.

Annie is a little more shy but shakes his hands and they exchange hi's.

"Hi Junior, how are you? You've grown a lot since i saw you." Peeta sinks down onto Junior's height.

"Peeta!!" He exclaims and jump into his arms.

"He talks about you guys very often. He has really missed you." Annie chuckles at Junior as he clunges to Peeta.

"Do i get a hug to?" I ask with pouting lips.

Junior just laughs and and runs back to his father and stick his thounge out in cheer.

"Hey, that's not nice?" I complain but he just laughs and runs back to their car.

He's Finnick's son, you got that right.

A moment after Haymitch and Effie also descends from the train and get embraced by both Finnick and Annie.

"Johanna will arrive later tonight from 7. Gale and his family is already back at our place." Annie announces.

I suddenly got very nervous.
I haven't spoked one word to him since the rebelion.
Perta seems to feel me tens beside so he grabs my hand and we walk to their car.

I have almost forgot how much i've missed district 4. I have only been here once, at my and Peeta's Victory tour.
I remenber the scent, the heat and the incredible landscape. As we pass the ocean i watch the beautiful sunset at the horisont and i look at Peeta just to meet his smile.

"This would be perfect to paint sometime. It's even more beautiful out here than in 12." He states and i look back at the ocean and smile.

He is defiently right. Peeta and i usually watch the sunset in the evening, but out here the sunset is breathtaking.

When the car eventually stops at their house i'm almost shoked.
Their house in on the beach and they also have a terrace faceing the water. It's a two storey villa in white vintage with a big garage that is underground.

"What a beautiful house, Annie!" I choke impressed as Peeta helps me out from the car.

"Thank you Katniss. Finnick built it himself." She gives Finnick a kiss and smiles.

"Well, you've done an amazing job, if that's only an understatement." Peeta compliments and they start a conversation i don't even bear listening to.

I grab a small bag from the luggage as Peeta takes our bagages and we make our way into the house.

As we enter the house the first thing i see is Gale and his family.
Haymitcg greets him politely and so does Peeta and when he comes to me i can't help but hug him.

"I've missed you Gale." I tell him.

"I've missed you too Catnip." He tells me back as we let go of each other.

"I'm so sorry, Katniss. I'm really-." I stop him by saying.

"Don't worry about that. I'm sorry too. But what happend is the past now. We have to move on, okay?" I say.

"Okay." He nods and introduces his wife and kids to me.

"Katniss, this is Leah. Leah, this is Katniss."

We both shake hands.

"I have heard a lot about you Katniss. And conggratulations by the way." She smiles and points to by producing belly.

I smile and thank her. She is really nice. I decide to like her.

"And this is Jake, Alexandra and Hunter." He smiles at his kids while they stand there beside their parents.

"Hi, i'm Katniss." I introduce me and the oldest one, which i guess it's Jake speakes up.

"I'm Jake. Dad said you saved the country, is that true?" He asks.

"It is. But i wasn't alone. You father was there too." I smile at Jake which seems pleased by my answer.

After everyone has greeted each other we were placed in rooms.

Peeta and i were placed on the second floor in a room that goes in a beautiful lavender colour. By the way, this house is very big for just being two floors.

We pack up a bit but we soon walk down to the other again.
As we came downstairs i notice my mom in the livingroom.

"Mom." I breath and she embraces me in a hug.

"Hi Katniss." She says when i hug her back.

As we break she hugs Peeta too and he greets her politely.

"She's gotten very big lately." She smiles and put a hand carefully on my belly.

"Yeah, she has. And it feels. Everywhere." I laugh.

She just smiles and we walk in to the livingroom to talk to the others.

We mingle for a while until there's a knock on the door.

Annie goes to open it. I hear her open the door and a female voice echoes from the hallway.
This could only be one person.
