"Casting Shadows"

My mind has a dark block
That couldn't seem to be lifted;
It's become so heavy
From the pains they've inflicted.

My eyes see grey
Everywhere I turn,
And everything that went closer
With one touch, it all burned.

My heart seems to rapture,
Pausing on life-threatening beats;
Not minding anything that happens
When its life depletes.

My soul seems to have broken
Into shattered pieces on infinity,
That lacks each time it falls
From my body's vicinity.

But on the outside,
Was more than what meets the eyes
That this poor soul was crashing
Despite the smile hiding the lies

That this girl was casting
A bright aura above the darkness;
Not even one soul
Could decipher her coldness.

A shadow of the day,
A shadow of the night,
Which do you see
Underneath the broad daylight?
