A Mortal's Sin

It was at that very same steep hill
Where she stepped upon the edge of a cliff
Bearing all hopeless passion
Filled with nothing but hate and deception

"Why would she do that?"
Someone, who felt not half as her, asked
What he didn't know
The tragedy of what has been her past.

But who was to blame her
When no one heeds to listen?
When she's afraid of you to judge her
Over and over again?

Her countenance touched the edge
Outlining the brink of what led to death,
And she looked down, gulped and fearful
Trying not to rethink of what would be left.

Today made none a difference,
For before she had thought of to die;
When life showed its ugly ways
Only then, she managed to stay alive.

What of us to mock her, much less pity,
For what she didn't need strengthened the thought?
Of having no hesitations
To give up her lot.

In the first place, why?
Life was to enjoy and not take away;
Death was feared and yet she invited,
Was it not worth a day?

Three hearts was the dilemma,
A love so thick and entangled,
So constricted it hurts to the extent
Of no escape of being strangled.

She couldn't choose among the three
One, who invited her to slavery;
Two, who killed her family;
Three, who massacred her slowly...

Who was to judge her,
For a crime she never committed?
Accused with no justice---
No ways were permitted.

The last drop of her tears trickled,
Falling down to sharp rocks below,
And as it reached down
More came out and flowed.

One deep breath, she blinked away tears;
One last wish, she sighed for freedom;
She closed her eyes, took one step...
She jumped.

The air enveloped her arms
As if to resist her direction
Towards glass-like shards of rocks
That she welcomed from deception.

But it was all too late---
Blood seeped out from its demise,
And with eyes opened to death...
She was freed from the world's lies.
