“His Warm Answer”
I see myself in the mirror,
Showing a smile at me,
As if nothing was wrong,
As if I was free.My smile broke into a grin,
Flashing my glee,
As the reflection now says,
“Keep believing what you have to be.”And slowly tears streaked down,
From nowhere they streamed;
Erasing the smile I once had,
The façade of what life seemed.A sudden trance moved in like a blur,
Making me realize my regrets,
Putting my guard down,
Revealing my darkest secrets.In desperation, I called Him
To tell me what I have to do,
So that this morose feeling would flee;
The feeling of solitude.His warm embrace welcomed me
With arms that comforted my sorrow,
As I looked at Him with dreary eyes
Of losing hope for the morrow.Yet He wiped my tears away,
Caressing my locks as He whispered,
“My child, do not fear;
Your prayers, I have heard……And have answered.”
