The Elements rule the world of Gikongai. Fire, water, earth, air, lightning, light, dark and Necro. These are the standing stones in which the world is built on. The pillars of the world. Without these the world would fall to ruins...

Power. That Is all I have ever longed for since that day.
The day my world fell to ruins.
I replay that day every night in my dreams, the pitter patter of feet over sand as I run, little sister in my arms, mother and father jogging along behind me, and screams. Screams of anger, of terror, of anguish and of pain. The day the kingdom of Darlen was attacked by the kingdom of Chandéré.
Flames roar around the beach like wild phoenix's being released from their cages. Water gushes back and forth, sending chills down the spine of anyone they touch. The ground trembles as earth elementalists raise havoc through the ground. Lightning screams as it is sent piercing down to the ground. The world moans as necromancers use their dark powers to make even more destruction. The powers. These have been with us for as long as I can remember.
I quicken my pace, hiking my sister up my body so I don't drop her, and I keep glancing behind to check my parents are keeping up.
My dad, a water elementalist, the best water elementalist the kingdom of Darlen has ever seen, sprays the kingdom of Chadéré's warriors with bone chilling gusts and waves of his aray of aqua attacks, chanting as he has been fought to do so all his life and making his hand signs. Water. A possibility of my element in the future as a lot of people inherit their family powers. Water is seen as a weaklings element however, it is no where near as strong as Ice elementalists and compared to the other elements its more of a day in day out element. Why did my dad have to have such a weak element. My mother, she is a Light elementalist. A healer, mainly seen in our hospitals, I watch her as she places barriers around my father to repel the enemies attacks as we run, again another possibility for my element. But I wouldn't want that. Its too weak.
My sister and I have yet to awaken our abilities, to train with them in the various elemental churches. I hope my element is Dark. But a dark elementalist has not been seen in thousands of years. They are seen as a omen of bad tidings and war. But I do not care. I want the power to protect people. And it is what I shall do.
Suddenly, I see our destination, the ships of the kingdom of Driconda, Darlens allies. The ships all of our refugees are running to.
" RUN MY SON! " My father bellows at me as We near the ship " Get out of here! Go! Leave us "
" Do as your father says dear, take your sister and go, we will be right behind you " My mother gives me that loving smile she always does. I guess I should've known from that smile she was lying. She always was trying to reassure me.
I sling my sister over my shoulder and sprint for the ships, clambering on the decking and looking frantically as my parents and other adults fight off and defend Dricondas ships from the warriors of the kingdom of Chandéré.
Then it happened. One giant Pyro attack from a fire elementalist on the opposing side. The likes of which I have never seen before. It engulfed our warriors in tongues of flame and spiraled around them in a firey vortex, heat could be felt radiating from it even from the ships. The it exploded into one shockwave, leaving dead bodies scattered around the beach.
The ships tremble and I realise we are about to move. I sprint to the side of the ship, trying to see where my parents are, I scream in realisation when I see them on the beaches shore, the ghost of their reassurances to me still on their faces.
Arms engulf me and restrain me, pulling me away from the edge. I wanted to kill all of them. Every single Chandéré knight there is. They wiped away my parents like they were nothing. I wanted them to feel my hatred. My wrath. I wanted every single one of them to die. To feel punishment and retribution.
However, the ships were already far from the beach, and my screams of pain still echo around the walls of the ship, I silently vow to have revenge and kill every single Chandéré officer to exist. I will master whatever element is bestowed upon me by the gods. And I will wreak havoc on the soldiers of Chandéré
