Promposal

⚜Travis's POV⚜

Connor and I have been working on this all morning, the perfect 'promposal' for Katie, although it's for the festival not prom. So we've finally came up with a good idea!

Lacy is in on it too, she was the one helping Connor not glitter bomb the entire cabin.... We'll save the glitter bombs for another day. Anyway, everyone has been doing these spectacular things and I've been leading Katie on to believing I'm not even going to ask her. I know, I'm the spawn of the devil. Or Hermes is close enough. Well, I decided to do something special for Katie.

I'm going to ask Katie on her way to archery, that way it will catch her off guard. We just got done with, as I say, morning food.  Katie was laughing and smiling with her siblings. At one point, they all looked straight at me. I just looked back with wide eyes because that was incredibly weird and awkward to see. They all turned back and one of Katie's sisters, Maddie I think it was, started giggling like crazy. It was all very strange.

Lacy came running towards me with my poster.  Naturally, she dropped it, ran back to get it, then got to me. "Thank you for helping me!" I looked down at my poster and it would definitely work to get Katie to go with me.

"Oh, no problem! Mom would flip if she found out I didn't help you, she's really rooting for you guys. Enough talking to me! Go get her!" She pushed me in the direction of the archery.

I gave her a thumbs up and confidently walked over to where Katie would be. She was shooting a target with some accuracy but not straight bullseyes. She looked super concentrated, maybe I shouldn't bother her. I turned back to see Connor and Lacy looking at me, hands on hips or arms crossed. Well here goes nothing I guess...?

"Katie!" I called at her. She let out a yelp and shot at me. I dove out of the way before she accidentally killed me. The arrow barley missed me, and landed near Lacy who literally jumped on Connor's back like a cat. She was screaming and he was yelling about her sharp nails. "Geez woman! At least tell me that you're going to kill me before you do!"

She was looking at the situation with both hands over her mouth. Obviously startled by us all. "I'm so sorry you guys!" Katie said. Then she started laughing, but she was trying really hard to hide it.

"Why are you laughing?!"

"I'm not laughing." She shook her head and was trying not to smile.

"You're totally laughing." I smiled at her.

"okay okay, so why did you scare me into peeing my pants a little?" I bursted out laughing and grabbed my poster.

"Katio, will you go to the festival with me?" I held up the poster. It said 'Festival?" In flowers and there were a bunch of photos Connor took of us. Ones where we are dancing or looking at each other, when we were asleep in the boat, her with a bunch of cake on her face, ect.

"No."

I looked at her, incredibly hurt. My entire world felt like it had been crushed then fell on top of me.

"Oh my gods I'm just kidding, you should have seen your face! Of corse I'll go with you!" She laughed.

Okay. I probably deserve that one.

She hugged and pecked me, yeah we're doing that now, and continued to laugh at my (for a couple of seconds) heartbroken face. "Ouch. That was brutal kit kat."

"Well those two thought it was funny!" She put up her hands and brought a finger to her eye to get a fake tear. I looked behind me to see that Lacey was no longer on top of Connor. Although they were both laughing their butts of  in the grass. At least they take amusement to me getting crushed by the girl of my dreams. 

They are all sole-less monster if you ask ol' Travis.

Once those two finally shut up, Katie said she should probably get back to practice and that she'll come by later to get the pictures.

Now all I've got to do is wait... The festival starts tomorrow and now I'm psyched.

Sorry I've been inactive, I had finals to worry about. Guess who got straight A's?! Lol not me😂 nah I have 1 B but whatever close enough. And right now I have the notorious pink eye.

And it suckkkkkkkkkkkkksssssss literally so painful and my eye is super swollen. Anywho, have a nice day or week or until my next update!
