Chapter 17

(Dominic's POV)

A year has already passed and it's only 2 more weeks before Corey graduates from high school and I give him the option to be turned into one of my kind. I honestly do want him to be mine and I want him to say yes to being turned into a vampire, but I don't want to push him or scare him away.

If he agrees to be turned into a vampire, he would no longer be able to see his family.

If he doesn't agree, then he remains with his family for as long as he wants until he calls me back to his side.

I am afraid of his decision, yet I am so curious about his decision.

At the time being, I am at home while Corey is in school. I had decided to "drop out" since there really was no need for me to be in school at this point. I only had to wait until Corey graduated and then find out his decision.

I only hope that he doesn't regret his decision later on his vampiric or non-vampiric life.

(Corey's POV)

I sighed wistfully as I finished my final exam for my Advanced Placement Calculus class. School wasn't the same without Dominic here, but I understood why he wasn't. He was waiting for me to graduate before I made my decision on whether or not I wanted to be turned into a vampire.

There really wasn't much for me if I said no since my parents had split due to an affair my mother had with one of her clients or so I was told and my father just buried himself in his work to try to overcome the grief.

My mother rarely called him to check on me, but my father spent all of his free time on me, spending money on lavish gifts and taking me on trips to random countries to bond with me like he somehow knew that I would be leaving him soon.

I'm worried about my father's health and sanity, but Dominic assured me that my father's future showed no sign of his health turning bad or him losing his sanity no matter my decision.

So I've already made up my mind on whether or not I want to be turned into one of the living dead.

*2 weeks later (after Corey's graduation)*

"I love you more than you will ever know, το φως της ζωής μου." Dominic murmured, pressing his lips ever so gently against mine. I kissed him sweetly, pressing my body slightly harder against his as my arms wound themselves around his neck. Pulling away, I rested my head on his chest as I breathed his scent in deeply.

I knew what he would be asking me and I already knew my answer.

"What is your decision, το φως της ζωής μο?"

I lifted my head up and looked deep into his eyes as I uttered the words that would seal my fate.

"Turn me and make me yours for eternity."
