Chapter 8
(Pic on the side is of Dominic's private home)

(Corey's POV)

"That's not fair!" I whined childishly as I walked with Dominic to his house. The handsome Greek god had finally decided to work on the project with me, but the catch was that we had to work at his house. I sort of didn't want to, but I felt like I could trust Dominic with myself, so I agreed.

Right now, we were walking to his house and we were talking about who was better at Skee-Ball and Dominic had said that he was stronger, but because I didn't believe him, he decided to demonstrate by throwing a skipping a stone across a puddle without making a mess.

Which he managed to prove.

Dominic chuckled, a low yet rich and husky sound that made me want to bare myself to him, and replied "It's not my fault I can do that, mio amore."

'Italian now? He was just speaking French this morning!' I thought to myself before pouting. Dominic chuckled again and grabbed my hand that wasn't holding onto my backpack strap. He lifted it to his face and pressed a gentle kiss to it, making me blush about 50 different shades of red.

Then instead of releasing my hand, he grasped my small one in his and we continued our walk to his house in peaceful silence. Not to soon, we arrived at a mansion that seemed to be located in the middle of the forest near the city. My house was actually within the first 800 feet of the forest, so it made it easier for me to get to school, but Dominic's house was like a million miles away. I'm surprised that my feet didn't hurt from all the walking yet.

"This is your house?" I gasped in awe when Dominic unlocked the front door and ushered me in like one of those gentleman from the olden days. I had thought the outside of his house was gorgeous, but the inside was equally beautiful to match the outside.

The outside had pure white marble columns with different spirals of flowers decorating each column. Intricate golden designs trailed across the marble arch of the house and I could do nothing but stare in awe. The house itself seemed to be made out of something that made it as white as snow. There were literally no imperfections at all and there were 2 giant gardens in the front that was filled with exotic flowers.

Inside the house, there were black intricate designs that decorated the ceiling and the walls were a beautiful cerulean blue color. Crystal chandeliers dangled from the ceilings and the sunlight that bounced off of the crystals made the room glow brightly like the sun was actually shining in the house.

Vases of flowers decorated the tables in the living room and so did various paintings. The paintings were of the seasons of the year, the ocean, animals, and other exotic places I had never been to. The floor was carpeted and everything was just breathtaking.

Even the stairs that led upstairs were carpeted and the railing was decorated with a spiral of white, purple, pink, orange, yellow, lavender, novelty, salmon, peach, cream, black, green, and blue roses.

"Do you have an obsession with flowers or something?" I found myself asking Dominic. Dominic burst into laughter and I found myself blushing lightly and pouting again. Irritated that he was laughing at me, I slapped his arm lightly and glared at him with my pout still on my face.

"I'm sorry, amore, I didn't mean to laugh at you. I don't have an obsession with flowers per se, but I just enjoy gardening as one of my many hobbies." Dominic apologized, a small smile on his handsome face.

My blush deepened and I ducked my head shyly, but before I could say anything, Dominic said "Let's go up to my room so we can do this project."
