Levitating different objects within the kitchen, Ezra was sat at the table, allowing his confused mind to think about...well, everything. It had been three months since he had begin his Jedi training with his master - Kanan Jarrus. It was great....but after using the dark side of the force, he wasn't too sure if he was on the right path; he didn't want to turn and use the dark side again, but Kanan had told him if he opened himself up to the force - which he needed to do - it just might. And that....that scared Ezra. All of a sudden, the sound of the door swiping open startled the teenager out of his deep thoughts; he noticed his master enter the room and approach the coffee machine "hey kid" he greeted. Returning the greeting, Ezra sat back in his seat as he lowered the cup of orange juice that was in front of him before the man, after he had his hot beverage, sat across from him.

"What's up??" Kanan asked before taking a sip of his coffee, only to watch as the teenager shrugged "nothing" which earned a raised brow; had the boy forgotten his master could tell when he was lying?? "I can sense something is wrong Ezra" the man reminded "so what's wrong?? You can tell me" he encouraged. The room fell silent before the kid sighed, rubbing the back of his neck "I'm just....confused" he finally admitted out loud "what path am I supposed to be pn?? Light?? Dark?? No path at all??" he continued, his fustration leaking out with every word he spoke "sometimes I wonder if I should have joined you and the crew at all" he finished as he ran a stressed hand through his navy blue locks. Huh, so talking about your problems can help with your emotions after all; who know?? But to say Kanan was taken back from his padawan's words would have been an understatement; he lent forward in his head, folding his arms and resting them on top of the table.

"It's okay to be confused Ezra, it's how the world works" the man reassured with a gentle smile "the way to deal with that confusion, though, is to be near the people that can help, like the crew and I". Looking down, Ezra mumbled the words that had been on his mind for the past few weeks "I don't even know if I want to be a Jedi anymore" his voice sounded so...broken; Kanan reached forward and lay his hand on top of the boys arm as he smiled softly "every padawan learner feels like that Ezra" he stated truthfully "I did once, and you know what my master told me??" his words managed to make the boy look up from his lap, clearly wanting to hear the advise that may just help him.

Kanan as Simba
Ezra as Kiara.

As the song came to an end, Kanan smiled at his padawan "do you understand now Ezra??" he asked, earning a hesitant nod, as well as a smile "I do...master". Standing from his seat, Ezra embraced the man who happily returned it "I'm gonna go do some training" he stated before rushing out the door. Smiling, Kanan sat in complete silence as he thought about his dear late master; she always knew what to say, though her last words weren't his favorite and always haunted him. "Thank you master...for helping me understand my confusion".
