For the past two weeks, Kanan had been able to sense that something was wrong with his padawan. Honestly, it didn't take a force user to know this as the rest of the crew could tell just by looking at the boy. It had them all worried as the teenager had yet to speak to them about what was troubling him. Today was the day that they had finally had enough of not knowing and were discussing what might possibly be wrong with their youngest crew member. "Why don't you try talking to him??" Anakin suggested, earning a nod from the man who stood from his seat in the common room and left to find the topic of their conversation; he used the force and dicovered the teenager was....in one of the training rooms. Soon enough, he walked through the door to find the kid attempted a new move that Anakin had taught him a few days ago; he had yet to perfect it but he was getting better. "Looking good Ez" Kanan complimented as he leant against the wall; the fourteen year old stopped to look over his shoulder "em...thanks" before resuming his training.
Sighing, the man decided to get straight to the point with why he was there, asking his padawan what was wrong "and don't say nothing becasue everyone on this ship knows that's a lie" he added; the boy froze momenteraly before sighing, turning to his master as he was about to speak, only for the door to swipe open again to reveal the rest of the crew - minus Zeb, Chopper and Rex who were out on a supply run. "We want to know what's wrong as well" was all Ahsoka said as they all sat down; Ezra remained where he was stood, folding his arms acorss his stomach as he hesitantly began to speak. "You guys have been acting like I'm not even here" he stated "or that I'm too young and know nothing so I shouldn't be included in certain situations and it's really bloody annoying". In return, the crew found themselves sharing looks and expressions of sadness and confusion, earning a sigh from the boy as he thought of a way to make them understand.
Ezra as....Jim?? (Author's note: who actually sings this song??)
As his song came to an end, Ezra realised that all of the women were silently crying whilst Kanan and Anakin shared a look of guilt and sadness. "We understamd Ezra" Hera spoke as she pulled the teenager into a warm embrace "and we are so sorry that we made you feel that way". Ezra only shrugged as the pilot released him "not entirely your fault" he admitted "I've always felt like that, living on the streets does that to a person" he spoke as if such a thing was common knowledge. After taking his turn to embrace the boy and say an apolagy of his own, Kanan spoke up "well not anymore, we're gonna include you in the job more often" he promised before suggesting they all get some very much wanted lunch; Sabine and Ahsoka grabbed onto the teenage boys arms and pulled him in the direction of the kitchen, everyone else following suit. Hera and Anakin prepared a small meal for the group whilst they all took turns to ask Ezra a question about his past to the things he liked; they were determined to get to know the boy better in order to be able to include him with things, not just relating to the rebellion.
