Whilst everyone was out on a supply run, Ezra remained in his room whilst his master was in his own, meditation like usual. He was focusing on his student's force signiture when, all of a sudden, a shot of pain was felt through their bond!! With wide and alarmed eyes, Kanan jumped from his place on the floor and rushed out of his room and violently hit his fist against the boys shared cabin door. "Ezra!! It's Kanan" he announced before ordering "open up". He waited impatiently before finally, the door opened to reveal the teenager as he asked the man what he wanted.

Kanan, ignoring the teenager's question, began to look him over for any injuries "wha....Kanan?!" Ezra rose a brow as he pushed his masters hands away "what are you doing?!" he asked; the man explained how he had been meditating and felt pain come from his padawan's side of their strong bond. "Now, where are you hurt??" he asked, only to watch Ezra as he sent him an eye roll "relax Kanan, I fell asleep and had a nightmare" he admitted "when I woke up, I fell off my bed and landed on my arm which is now fine".

Mostly reassured by this information, Kanan nodded before asking if everything else was alright; the fifteen year old once again rolled his eyes as he folded his arms acorss his chest "I'm fine" he insisted "and even if I wasn't, I can look after myself - I have for years already". Sighing, his master rubbed his forehead "but you're not alone anymore Ezra" he reminded "and we as a crew, and as a family, take care of one another".

Once Kanan finished his meaningful song, the master and padawan sat on the bottom bunk as Ezra kept his gaze locked onto the floor; the man smiled softly as he placed two of his fingers under the boys chin, lifting his head in order for them to come face to face. His heart broke at the sight of tears streaming dow the kids face "no one has ever....been there for me before" Ezra mumbled before leaning against his master and wrapped his arms around him tightly. Kanan easily and happily returned the embrace just as tight "I will always be right here for you Ezra...always".
