Today was not Ezra's day. Far from it actually. The complete opposite. Let me explain. Firstly, he didn't get a wink of sleep the previous night thanks to nightmares, Zeb's snoring and just not being able to enter the land of sleep. Nextly, he was shocked by Chopper at seven O clock to get up as Hera wanted the both of them to go on a supply run - the list was much longer than usual as well!! And afterwards, once he and the bucket of bolts had returned to the ship which was around lunch time, Kanan called him to the training room in order to begin their usual daily Jedi training.

One thing to know about when using the force, being completely drained of your energy and lacking in very much needed sleep can make such a task extremely dangerous. Ezra learnt this the hard and worst way. All he was meant to do was force push the extremely heavy crate but instead of hitting the target, his exhaustion made him miss and - to his absolute horror - he hit his master. Kanan, with wide eyes, was sent flying away from where he was stood and knocking into the wall before landing on the floor with a thud.

Ezra was too horrified and ashamed of himself that he ran out of the room and out of entire ship; he didn't stop until he finally reached his old tower. He didn't even check to see if Kanan was okay, though he had noticed the man begin to sit up before he rushed away - he even called out for the boy. He couldn't face Kanan, nor any of his crew after what he had done - even if it was an accident. He had been holding back so much that it effected him to a point that he ended up harming his mentor - the man he saw as a father figure. How could he do such a thing?! All of a sudden, a song he used to sing to himself when he lived on the streets; it was about letting go of your worries, stresses and problems.

Letting out all of his fustration, anger and sadness, Ezra rested his head in his hands as the sadness all came swimming back. "Ezra" a voice suddenly called out, one he recognised to all too well and wished wasn't there; the teenager looked over his shoulder as he told Kanan to go away. He saw his master was leaning against the the door to the tower, his arms folded across his chest "not until we talk kid". Standing up from his spot on the floor, Ezra stated that he didn't want to talk to anyone at the moment, only for Kanan to press on "I'm not mad Ezra" he began to reassure "I know you didn't mean to force push me into the wall of the ship".

The fourteen year old kept his head down "I did the same to my own master when I was a young padawan learner too" the man revealed as he took a seat beside Ezra on the make shift bed "I also know that you didn't get very much sleep last night, if not at all" he added "and the fact you have to get up early to go on a supply run with Chopper sure didn't help". The room remained silent as Ezra listened to what his master had to say "if you ever need a break kid, just say" he stated everyone needs a time out every now and then" he wasn't wrong there.

Hesiantly looking towards the man, Ezra both thanked the man and apolagised for losing control as they shared an embrace "I already told you Ez, I don't blame you so no more saying sorry" he smiled "now come on, Hera wants us to buy a meiloorun for her" he stated as he stood up, reaching out his hand for the teenager to join him. Feeling much better than before, Ezra took the offered hand and allowed himself to be pulled up to his feet "best not keep her waiting them".
