Needing supplies for the ship, Kanan, Anakin, Ahsoka and Ezra were walking though Capital City. The youngest teenager had been think about how younglings used to traditionally turn in the temples; it wasn't like he ever would after all. Calling out to his three friends, he decided to ask "what kind of things did you do in the temple??" they appeared taken back by his question before thinking; Anakin eventually spoke up first "well....there was a lot of training to be done of course" he began "sometimes there would be parties for birthdays, holidays or just to cheer everyone us". Ashoka chipped in as she explained how amazing the parties were.

Turning to Kanan, the man just shrugged "I just focused on my training to be honest, I only ever went to the holiday parties" he admitted. For the rest of the trip, they all spoke about what the temple was like as Ezra listened closely and laughed at the funny stories "I wish I was there to see all of that" he stated. As the day continued and the four friends returned to the ship; Kanan and Ezra entered the training room to practice levitating objects, as well as meditating. But something was on the teenagers mind.

"Kanan" he called out, breaking out of his meditation "why did you always want to be alone when you were at the temple??" he asked; the man had let it slip that he liked to be the lone wolf whilst they were shopping in the market. Opening his eyes, the man sighed "I didn't have too many friends back then....and" he paused, a pained expression taking over his face; this alarmed the teenager as he told his master that he didn't have to tell him "I was just curious". Shaking his head, Kanan eventually continued "and...I was bulled a lot....so I found it easier to just....lock myself away from others" he finished as he looked to the ground, finding his lap rather interesting.

Surprised by his confession, Ezra found himself feeling bad for asking his master about his past. "Well....it seems we both know how that feels then" he stated, wanting Kanan to know he understood; the man looked up upon hearing the words his padawan spoke, surpised before realising that street folk don't tent to be treated nicely. "But...just so you know master" Ezra continued "I'll stand by you....no matter what".

Without realising it, Kanan had formed a few tears that managed to pour down his cheeks. Seeing this, Ezra stood from his spot on the floor and took a few steps forward before wrapping his arms around his master, embracing him warmly. "Thank you Ezra" Kanan spoke as he returned the hug "you have no idea how much that means to me" the teenager smiled "I only speak the truth" he promised "padawan's honour".
