I'm going to get payback. There's no doubt about it, but how is the question. Eadlyn, Ahren, Kaden, and Osten stare at me in shock.
"Mom-" they all started at once.
"Yes dears, I know. It's all your father's fault, and trust me when I say there will be revenge." I say seriously, but with a hint of amusement in my voice. Which, they don't miss.
"Would you like help?" Kaden asks excitedly.
"Is that a good idea? I mean dad doesn't know about our newest guest and probably won't be very happy..." Ahren tries to reason.
"Then I guess I'll just do it when he least expects it and it all blows over. But, we all know he'll pay someway, somehow. "
We all laugh when we hear the door open, "MAXON CALIX SCHREAVE!" I scream. The laughs turn to snickers.
Maxon's eyes widen and his face goes red from anger. Uh oh, I think. "Honey, I told you we needed to talk, but you told me there was strawberry tarts and I lost all train of thought. " I say in attempt to blame it on him at least partially.
"We'll discuss this later."

I know it's short, but I couldn't keep you guys waiting too long! Plus, I feel like the conversation should be in Maxon's POV so we'll know how he feels and what his thoughts are.
