Delilah was propped up on the bed with her iPad when her phone rang. She reached over and grabbed it. "Hello?" she said absent mindedly.

"Whatcha doin, pretty girl?"

She smiled and turned her attention to the voice on the phone. "Nothin..."

"I know you better than that...what are you really doin? No let me guess... buying shoes."

She laughed. "How did you know?"

"Because you my darlin wife have a weakness for shoes when you're either sick, lonely or bored. So which is it tonight?" Cole smiled into the phone.

"Bored and lonely...." She admitted.

"How many pair did you buy? Should I be scared to look at the credit card statement?" He laughed.

"I was good. I promise. I controlled myself somewhat." She bit her nail.

"Lila.... How many pair?"

"Four." She said quietly.

"Only four?"

"Yes I promise. Just four."

"Baby, I'm gonna have to get you a bigger closet." He teased.

"I know.... It's horrible...."

"No it's fine. You can buy all the shoes you want if that's what makes you happy."

"You make me happy...but you're not here."

"I will be soon. I promise."

"How soon?"

"Like this weekend.... The tour is takin a couple of weeks off. Luke needs a break so we'll be home Saturday morning...I was thinkin maybe we'd go down to the beach.... just you and me.... You could wear that new bikini that you bought that I'm not supposed to know about...."

"How do you know about that?"

"Baby, the Victoria Secret bag was in the closet and so was the receipt."

"Shit."

"Uh huh....so you gonna wear it for me?" Cole stretched out on the couch of the bus.

"Maybe...."

"Just maybe?"

"If you're a good boy I'll even let you see what else I bought." She said seductively.

"Mmmm... why Mrs. Swindell, have you been holdin out on me?"

"A little... I don't know why I even bother buying the stuff when ten minutes after I put it on it ends up on the floor."

"Because, darlin.... The fact that you bother to wear it is sexy as hell to me. And the fact that you look completely undeniably sexy naked is even better."

"Hmmm..."

"So about the beach...I was thinkin maybe we'd spend a couple days there then go see my mom and your parents for a couple of days then spend the rest of our time at home.... Pretendin to make babies."

"Sounds like a plan." She giggled.

"Good. I love you so much and I can't wait to see you."

"Me either. I love you too."

"Get some sleep because when I get home there's not gonna be a whole lot of that happenin..." He laughed.

"Deal. I love you, Colden Rainey Swindell."
