She sighed and laced her arm through Cole's as they walked out of the restaurant . "What?"
"Just thinkin...."
"About?"
"Tomorrow I am goin to become your wife. Mrs. Colden Swindell."
He stopped and turned her to face him. "Do you know how much I love you? How every time you smile my heart skips a beat and when I hear you laugh my stomach does summer saults? I can't wait for you to become my wife. But you are so much more than that... you're my best friend, my heart, my...."
She cut him off by pressing her mouth to his. "I love you too."
Cole pulled her close. "I'm a lucky lucky guy. Blessed."
"Me too." She snuggled in close. "This is beautiful. I'm glad you agreed to get married here."
"We both love it. I mean we could have gotten married in on the beach or Nashville but this.... This is home."
"Yes it is." She agreed.
"You sure you don't want to spend the night with me?" He nuzzled her neck.
"No." She giggled. "I want to keep somethin for our wedding night. It's tradition."
"You're killin me with this sleepin apart . I'm use to you bein right next to me." He groaned.
"I know."
She nodded and leaned her head against his shoulder. "I just want a couple more minutes with you." He kissed her softly.
She leaned into his embrace and listened to his heartbeat. She felt safe, loved. Like she was home. Tears filled her eyes before she could stop them. Cole lifted her chin. "What's wrong?"
"Nothin... they are happy tears I promise... it's just after all that we've been through... I mean four years ago if you told me that I'd been marrying you, I would have laughed. And now... here we are... about to get married."
"I know." He grinned. He hugged her tight. "But this is right where we are meant to be. And I fully believe that."
"Me too." She replied. "Me too. We've come a long way, Cole."
"Yes we have. And now here comes the Calvary to snatch you away from me." He motioned behind her Sure enough Caroline, Carrie, Lacey, Heather and Reggie were headed towards them.
She tossed her head back laughed. "Sorry."
He shook his head as the group approached. "Hi, ladies."
"We came to kidnap your bride." Lacey laced her arm through Delilah's. "You can have her back tomorrow afternoon."
"Ok." Cole pecked her mouth one more time. "Have fun. I love you."
"Love you too." She called over her shoulder.
Shestared at her reflection in the mirror. Her hair in a mess of curls. The veilpinned perfectly. Make up was on point. She looked like a bride.
The door opened and Luke stepped through. "Wow."
