"want me to show you around?"
"yeah, that'd be nice" Cody said.
"cool, let's go!"
we had been walking around a little in silence. not an awkward silence, it was nice. but i decided to speak up.
"so where have you spent the summer? your mum said you were with your dad?" i asked.
"I spent some time with him in Omaha," he said. "it's nice to get away from home for a while to kick off the summer, get away from school and all." he said. he seemed rather quiet and reserved, like myself in some ways.
"oh cool. you go there every summer?"
"yeah, i don't see my dad all too much during the school year. he's always busy with work, myself with school and work." he said with a small voice.
"you have a job?" I asked with a small smile. It was cool that he was mature enough to to have a job, let alone keep one.
"I work at a small cafe, on weekends and during breaks and stuff. nothing too interesting." he shrugged.
"that's so cool!" I said.
"What about you?" he asked.
"what about me?" I question.
"yeah, do you have school or a job?"
"oh," I said, blushing.
"I mean, I used to be the opening act for the first leg of the tour for my dad. and im homeschooled now because of touring a lot." I explained.
"You perform? That's cool!" he said.
"Who's your dad?"
"Uh, Andy Biersack." I replied shyly. I didn't want him to think differently of me because of that.
"awesome! black veil brides are awesome. They're like my favourite band," as he said this I noticed the smile creep on to his face.
We had been walking and talking for so long it was almost getting dark, and I got a text from Andy asking me back to the bus for dinner.
"Hey, wanna come to the bus with me for dinner? I'm sure your mum will be there anyways because she's a part of our tour fam" I chuckled. He looked nervous, but happy, and replied with a small "yes."
This could get interesting.
