"Katie! Katie! Wake up its Christmas!" Lily shook me awake. We had the girl's dormitories all to ourselves as everyone else had gone home.

"I'm awake, I'm awake." I groaned sitting up and rubbing my eyes.

"Good. Come on, we have presents."

I followed her down stairs to the Common Room where the big Christmas tree was. Presents surrounded it.

"Good morning."

I looked up to see James, Sirius and Remus standing by the tree.

"Happy Christmas James, Happy Christmas Remus." I greeted hugging them and completely ignoring Sirius.

Sirius coughed, "What about me?"

I shot a glare at him, he looked taken aback.

"What? I'm your boyfriend!" He stepped closer, I took a step back.

"Were". I corrected.

"Can we ...talk about this?" He asked quietly. Everybody was now watching us. "Alone". He added.

I sighed heavily and stalked out of the Common Room. He followed hurriedly behind me. Once we were outside he began.

"Katie? Why aren't you talking to me? What do you mean 'were'? " Sirius asked.

I glared at him again.

"Katie!" He pleaded grabbing my wrist to get me to try and talk.

I struggled against his grip but he was stronger.

"You know what's wrong!" I hissed.

"I honestly don't Katie." He replied, sorrow filled his eyes,

"Tell me." He whispered.

I continued to glare.

"Fine. You and that girl snogging downstairs last night is what's wrong!" I growled finally managing to release his grip.

"She kissed me. I was trying to pull away."

"Yeah right!" I spat.

"It's the truth. Trust me!"

"I will never trust you again Sirius Orion Black!" I snarled.

"Please. I'm telling the truth."

"Save your breath." I turned around and made to walk back into the Common Roon when Sirius grabbed my hand and spun me around. His lips crushed forcefully against mine.

He pulled back hopefully.

I stared emotionless at him then swung my hand back and slapped him across the face.

"Don't touch me again." I marched through the portrait hole and slammed the door behind me.

Everyone was still sitting around the tree having quiet conversations.

"So..." I began, sitting down next to Lily.

"Does anyone know where Peter is?" Lily asked the group.

"He's still in bed. He stayed up all night last night. He said he would come down later." Remus replied.

I smiled, "Presents?"

They all grinned moved closer to the tree. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Sirius walking in rubbing his pink cheek. He sat next to Remus.

"To James, With Love Katie." Lily handed James the present from me which was an EXTREME BROOMSTICK CARE kit.
