chapter 19: anywhere but here

Amya was in a room of Thebes Palace. The decorations where gorgeous, silk bedding, a freaken bed! Amya was all about that. The ceiling was high with trimming of gold, she even had her own bath.

Amya didn't hesitation to lay on the bed. She folded her arms under her chin " ahhh, this is good " she sighed at the softness of the bed. Amya had to be careful when she moved, any little movement made her back hurt.

She didn't know how long she was in that cell for, but found herself missing that stupid Pharoah. At least he was kinder then this prince.

At least the old doctor was kind " it look better, however these will scar up. I'm sorry your beautiful back " he said mournfully

Amya shook her head " its fine " she said a little bittersweet but perked herself up " when will I be able to go for a walk. Its getting stuffy in here " she smiled

The doctor scratched the back of his head " I will see what I can do " he told her as he gathered his stuff together, he gave her a bow before he left.

With a heavy sigh she walked towards the window and look out. She wasn't sure how many days she's been stuck here. Amya watched as the garuds and maids went about from her little window. From time to time she would sing to herself, or hum. Anything to keep her busy.

" a song bird trapped in a cage " Anuket whispered

" you know it not like I can just walk out if here!" She sighed

" how would you know if you have never tried " she whispered

Amya looked towards the door " fine alright I will " she said getting up and walking to the door. Amya hesitated as she reach for the handle of the door, slowly she pulled it down and opened it. " what " she thought Peeking out. There where two guards passed out.

Amya took no time running down the hall. She hide herself whenever a maid passed by. Amya was close to where her window was " I can jump that wall" she thought with a running start. She went for it and waited for the right moment to kick off. She jumped and grabbed the ledge of the wall. Amya bite her lip as she pulled herself up, her back was on fire and felt tight. Once she pulled herself up she sat on the wall and felt her back with her hand "blood!? Damn " she said looking at her hand

" don't move " Someone yelled behind her. It was a gaurd " lady of the Nile, please don't move " he called out

Amya looked at him and the drop off the wall " why" she asked

" I've been looking all over for you" he called out

Amya was surprised " what, why?" She asked a little freaked out

" pharaohs menphis " was all he said before she jumped down to him.

"Quick what are you waiting for let's get out of here!! " she said

The guard help her up and had her wrap herself with a breathable cloth. And jumped on the horse, and gave the horse a small kick. Soon Thebes was behind her " good riddance " she thought watching it get smaller and smaller.
