To some, this may be a cliche happily ever after that all fairy tales get. To me, Leighton Shay Evans? That's not exactly how the story goes...
I've been that awkward girl who starts crushing on guys earlier than most. It's a lot worse when one of your best friends crush on older guys, some only recently started crushing, one hasn't even started crushing, and all of them have never had an experience quite like yours. Well that's me and my friends. I've been crushing on guys ever since pre-school and it's not so much fun when you know no one's going to like you back.
I was never the prettiest of my friends, nor the smartest, or the funniest. I was average. Average height, average weight, average I.Q, average looking, average average average. I never stood out because I was amazingly beautiful or because I was disgustingly ugly. Normal and no one really cared for the people in the middle. All everyone pays attention to are the people on the ends; either really pretty or non-pretty. No one was UGLY, they just were out shined by the more attractive people.
Being a hybrid I was always unsure of which side to go. I was British and Chinese, and most of the time it was the Westerners who were the "popular people". I was always being tugged to a side, and then be tugged again to the other. I was stuck in the middle of those two different worlds, wondering which side I'd eventually end up on.
Our family finally settled down in Singapore, we've been here for more than 2 years which is pretty much a record. I've been at Singapore American School for at least 4 years. Good sign it was.
So this will be me telling you the story of my crazy love life which seems to never end, but if it did end it certainly wouldn't have the happily ever after most girls have.
Or will I?
"Of course she will! It's those cliche stories where it seems like all's dead to her but then some hot guy somehow goes crazy and falls in love with her. Ewh, not realistic at all. In real life, hot guys don't fall in love with you. They fall in love with the hot girls, and if you're not hot, then you don't get him. Sorry, that's just the way life rolls."
It might be that cliche story where I'm that awkward geeky girl, but then all of a sudden puberty hits me and all the guys like me! But with a twist and a more realistic insight to what girls really feel.
All through out my life, I've been a crusher, and not a crushee.
I never thought I'd ever be liked by anyone, because I was me.
But all that was about to change.
A/N: It might not sound so appealing, but it's a mash up between a story I used to have up, "Please Don't Break My Heart" and one of my friends' actual love life. So... If you're curious please continue reading? (:
I'm dedicating this to MeTheDumbBlonde or Paige because she is one of the most amazingest authors on Wattpad. And because I was just talking to her, while I was writing the intro for this. Damn, it was awesome talking to you, Paige. I feel like I just talked to a celebrity<3 Her amazing writing inspired me to write this. I suggest any Harry Potter Freak to check out "A Life I Almost Knew {Fred Weasley Fan Fiction}" because it's one of the best books I've read on Wattpad. I don't know who's reading my stuff and hasn't read Paige's; since I'm a lot less popular (; , but if you haven't seen Paige's works, I think you should open a new tab right now and insert this: http://www.wattpad.com/2101702-a-life-i-almost-knew-fred-weasley-fan-fiction
Okay enough with my ranting about how amazing Paige is and how happy I am that I got to talk to her and that she actually replied back to me and I am GIDDY with joy(: ILOVEYOUPAIGE, update ALIAK soon. :D
Bye. And I hope you enjoy reading my other stuff and hope you'll continue reading this one too(:
