jin and chanyeol walked down the corridors of the school building, conversations about their home town and what they miss the most. both of them, however, were completely oblivious to the girl, shaking her head in displeasure.

"what's the matter, jay?" hannah, jay's bestfriend, asked gently.

"that stupid chinese boy is what's the matter," jay frowned.

"jay, he's korean," hannah chuckled, shaking her head in amusement.

"i don't give a rat's ass if he's a freaking demigod. he's a jerk either way," jay murmured, shoving her hands into her pocket, hiding the bruises on her knuckles. jay thought she could get her hands away from hannah's wandering eye, but she wasn't that slick.

"jay, again? you know you're going to break your hand," hannah frowned.

"i hope i do. maybe it'll give me the chance i need," jay sighed, her eyes finally peeling from the tall blonde who was innocently laughing with his friend.

"i don't understand why you can't just leave. you know my family and i will support you. you know that we have your back," hannah said, shoving a calculus book into her locker.

"it's complicated and you know it," jay stated, shrugging her shoulders up and down as she drew circles with her shoe.

"i can almost guarantee that what he is saying his empty threats," hannah replied, finally slamming her locker shut, the sound drowning in with the soft murmurs of the rest of the crowd.

"yeah, well i'd rather not test that theory," jay frowned, hannah slipping her arm around jay's shoulder, leaning her head against jay's.

"well, you know my number and how to contact me. c'mon. let's go to gym," hannah said just as the bell rang. hannah and jay were headed off to the gym when a small voice made jay roll her eyes.

"hi hannah," chanyeol chuckled nervously.

"oh, hi channy. hi jin," hannah smiled, waving at the two boys.

"hi hannah," jin smiled back.

"c'mon hannah, gym awaits," jay grumbled, dragging her friend from the boys.

"y'know chanyeol likes you and i can bet my bottom dollar that you like him back, so why not date?" jay chuckled as they began to walk to the girl's locker room.

"it's complicated and you know it," hannah mimicked. jay just laughed in response and shook her head.

"okay, let's make a deal. you break free from he-who-shall-not-be-named and as soon as you do, i'll ask out chanyeol in front of everyone," hannah smirked. jay gawked at her in horror.

"hannah, are you asking to be single forever?" jay groaned. hannah just stood with her arms crossed over her chest with a victorious smirk on her face. jay didn't say anything else as she walked off to enter the locker room.

"so then it's a deal!" hannah shouted after her.

"whatever tickles your pickle my friend," jay yelled back.

"ew," hannah laughed, scrunching her face as she followed her best friend into the dreaded locker room.
