the school day had ended and jay didn't really feel like going home yet. or the building that's supposed to be like home.
jay had been having a crappy day, as usual.
but her day always worsens when that chinese boy always attempts to take the only thing jay will be eating for the day.
jay reaches the park she always goes to and sits on the bench, pulling the cookie from the front pouch of her backpack. she carefully pulls the wrapping off the cookie and begins to eat it slowly, savoring the baked dough that brought her happiness.
"why are you here?" a voice said, interrupting jay's peace. her eyes snapped open to see the damn devil boy standing before her.
"why do you care?" jay snapped.
"just asking," jin shrugged, taking a seat next to her.
"eating my cookie," jay shrugged.
"why didn't you just eat it at lunch?" jin asked curiously.
"why do you ask so many questions?" jay scoffed. jin put his hands up in defense, leaning into the bench.
jay didn't quite enjoy silence, it made her think of the room she was trapped in for all hours of the day when she arrived home.
jay broke half the cookie and handed it to jin with no words, jin's eyebrows shooting up with shock.
"really?" jin asked, jay's focus being on the ground. jin took it with no more questions and smiled. the two sat in silence, enjoying the last cookie they shamefully argued over.
"my name is jin, and yours?" jin spoke up.
"jay," she said, still chewing the cookie.
"well, jay, you're not as bad as i thought you were," jin smiled. jay finally looked up at jin, like, really looked at him and smiled. he's beautiful, too bad it could never work.
"well, jin, you're not that bad of a cookie stealing thief either."
