Chapter 22

Peanut P.O.V

Either school was going terribly slow or maybe I'm just tired. Either way I'm happy its Friday! Marina, Trina, Kayla and Mariah walked in front of us as we made our way outside. Before we got all the way out the door this chick caught my eye. "I'll meet y'all out there, I'm bouta holla at shorty. I won't be long" I said. "Need a wing man?" Mike asked. "Wingman my ass, Tristan over there!" Kayla snapped pulling Mike out the door. I laughed and made my way over to the pretty brown skin chick with the glasses. "Can I help you with that?" I asked catching her books just as they were about to fall. She took one look at me and blushed. My eyes always pulled them in! "Thanks, you must be new" she said shyly. "Yeah, Markee and you are?" I asked. I never used my government name but judging by her appearance I had to come correct. "You go by Peanut right? And I'm Alaysia" she said. "You heard about me already, damn what I do?" I joked throwing my hands up. "All good things and mostly how nice and funny you are" Alaysia said smiling showing off her braces. "I gotta go but can I give you my number? You can decide rather to use it or not" I said grabbing her phone and locking myself in. I walked away not really knowing if she would hit me up. Usually I wouldn't stress but it was something about her that caught my attention. I walked outside and hopped in the car with Mouse. We decided to just grab a pizza and smoke before we went back to school. "Soo what she say?" Trina asked. I shrugged, I just gave her my number and if she hit me up good if not oh well" I said. My phone vibrated and I looked at it and smiled. "She hit me up" I said texting her back. "Get the fuck outta here! I been tryna take her virginity since 8th grade!" Tristan said. We all laughed. "My new best friend got game" Marina said putting her arm around my shoulder. "Umm you gotta share Peanut! So OUR new best friend!" Trina said as all the girls stood around me. "Awe hell naw, I was tryna be y'all best friend" Tristan said. "You just like ya damn brother" Trina snapped. "You love his damn brother though, ain't none wrong with us!" Charley said laughing. "Yeah except y'all will fuck anything with a pulse!" Mariah said. "Stay out of that" Devin said. Mariah rolled her eyes but she backed down. "Why y'all hating?" I joked.

Alasia texted me all day in school. By the last period I damn near could write a book about her! Mouse told me we had to meet up at the trap before we could enjoy our Friday. "Trina come home with me, Mouse making me go to this party so you and the girls coming too! Help me find something to wear" Marina said. "We'll meet y'all later" Kayla said as her and Mariah walked away. We'll we gone ride home with Charley, just come over when y'all done" Marina said kissing Mouse. We headed to the car and made our way to the trap. When we pulled up some of the girls that hung out we're on the porch. "Wassup Mouse" this girl Tiffany said smiling. "Sup Tiff" Mouse said barely acknowledging her. I nodded and then followed Mouse in. Money shook up with us and then led us to the back. Russell handed me a wad of money and then Mouse. "I heard you was on yo shot last night" he said. "Always" I said nodding. We talked for a minute then headed to Riah's house. "This easy money" I said. "Yeah but I definitely wanna go legal eventually" Mouse said. "Same here, I got a few goals" I said. I most definitely don't wanna be in the streets for the rest of my life!

Trap P.O.V

Monica kept slamming shit and it was getting on my damn nerves! I got up and went in the kitchen to see what the hell she was doing. "What part of I got a fucking headache don't you understand?" I snapped. "Well then you can clean the kitchen since I'm too loud for you!" Monica snapped back. I grabbed my keys. "I'm bouta go pick up my son!" I announced slamming the front door. My migraine had a heart beat. I pulled up at the condo and hopped out. Courtney and Jeremy we're sitting in the living room play fighting. "Where Trey at?" I asked. "Upstairs with Riley" Courtney said getting up and following me. I walked in the room Trey and Riley's eyes were glued to the tv. "You ready big man?" I asked. Trey hopped up and grabbed his bags. We went back downstairs and out the door, Courtney strapped Trey in. "Are you happy?" she blurted out. I shrugged, "Why wouldn't I be?" I asked. She shrugged. I started laughing, "You miss the kid!" I teased. "Shut up, I'm happy with Jeremy but I still care about you. And I wanna know if you happy" Courtney said seriously. "I'm happy as long as y'all happy" I said. Courtney nodded and started walking away. "Aye tell my lil friend I miss her cute ads" I called smirking. "She got a new friend" Courtney called back. "He ain't hitting on shit!" I said confidently.
