1: First Day

Current Day - February 12th, 2015

Joohyun's POV

BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!!

My alarm was going off for the 10th time before I got out of bed and hit the snoose button.

Today is my first day in my new high school. I know it's like half way throughout the school year, but I can't help it. We used to live in America, where my dad was taking care of his business for the past year-and-a-half. It's my 3rd year in highschool, meaning I have one year after this till I can go to college with Min Young! (Will explain later) We always shift to different places, so I never got to make close friends. Now we moved to Soeul, where the main office was. To be honest I feel VERY nervous to go to a Korean high school because I am a HUGE fan of Kdramas, and I always see the main characters being bullied. I hope that won't be me today.

I went to the washroom and started to wash my face, when I remembered that I don't have a school uniform! I ran out of
the washroom and called Min Young.

"Min Young Eonni!" I screamed as I knew, if I didn't have a uniform, I would be punished and bullied! By the way, MinYoung is my my so called "nanny", even though she's only 2 years older than me. She's the only person who loves and understands me. She's a combination of a mother, sister and friend.

"What?" She screamed back at me as she was getting ready for college. I was thankful that she would always come with us wherever we shifted.

"Do you know where I can find my school uniform?"

"How about you look on your bed?"

"What, it's there?"

"Yeah, I put it on your bed as soon as you went in the bathroom to get ready. Didn't you see it when you were running to call me?"

Pabo, Joohyun! You're absoulutely BLIND!

"Oh, I guessed I missed it." Trying to act cool even though I already know, she know's I'm lying.

"Yah, Joohyun-ah!"

"Yeah?"

"I'll give you a ride to school ok?"

"Ok, thanks!"

I ran upstairs and finished washing my face and looked on my bed. The uniform reminded me of the the one in "The Heirs". I wanted my uniform to say Cha Eun Sang, but unfortunately, it said Bae Joohyun. I want to find my Kim Tan so I can escape my father... that monster.

I left my hair open, with a hairband in it, making it a simple and sweet look for a school girl. I walked downstairs into the
kitchen to see Min Young making my favorite... PANKCAKES!!!

"I made your favorite this morning so you have a good mood, before you go to school today!"

"Thank you sooooooooooo much!" Doing some aegyo, which I rarely do, so she knows how much I appreciate her
efforts.

She toook out her car and started driving me to school.

"Eonni, what's Korea like? I barely remember it. The only things I remember about Korea are my bad memories" I gasped as tears started rolling down my cheeks. MinYoung had lived in Korea for 15 years, until she started living with us after her parents died in a car acciddent. She has bad memories in Korea too.

"Yah, I made pankcakes for you, so you would be in a good mood, when you go to school! Joohyun-ah don't let one, old
memory take over the rest of your life. Learn to enjoy the moments that are yet to come."

"Eonni, you should be a psychiatrist. You just gave me deep, cheesy advice. Don't become a chemical engineer!"

"Yah, what do you mean cheesy?"

"Oh come on, whenever you watch movies you know those crappy dialogues with the main boy trying to help the main
girl who has like, a billion problems."

"True." She said as we both started to laugh.

About 10 minutes later, we came to a stop.

"Joohyun-ah, I'll come and pick you up after school ok? Make sure you stay out of trouble and away from troublemakers!
When you come home, make sure you tell me every detail of your day ok?!"

"Ok Eomma!"

"Yah!" She yelled at me as I laughed running away from her car, opening the school gates.

"Ow! Can't you see where you're going?!" A deep, husky voice said.
