45: It's All Because Of You

Taehyung's POV

"Well..."

"Well what Kookie?"

"It's about Joohyun Noona."

I was confused. But then it all made sense. The awkwardness between them, the jokes were also taken personally. Especially when Yeri joked about Jungkook keeping her.

"Hyung? Are you okay?"

"Do you love Joohyun?"

He was silent.

"Jungkook, do you love Joohyun?"

"I never wanted to hurt anyone Hyung. I just couldn't live with my unclear feelings any longer."

"Since when?"

"October 16th."

"That's a little specific."

"It was an important day Hyung."

"October 16th? Isn't that when we had Jimin's birthday party? The weekend it rained a lot?"

"Yup."

"But that was before Joohyun transferred to our school. How did you know her?"

"I didn't know her Hyung. I met her that night."

"Night?"

"Hyung, I'm not like that."

"What did you do then?"

"I just admired her from a far. Her in the rain. It was kind of like love at first sight."

"I'm sorry Jungkook. I stole her from you."

"You can't steal what wasn't mine Hyung. You don't have to apologize."

"Would it make you feel better if I break up with her. It must be torture for my dongsaeng to see his Hyung with the girl he loves."

"Are you crazy? We all know how much both of you suffer when you're not together."

"How do you do it then Jungkook? Looking at the woman you love with another man? Loving a woman without getting any love in return?"

"You only know you love her when you let her go."

"What a typical thing to say." I scoffed, pulling him into a hug.

"I'm sorry Jungkook. I wouldn't have approached her if I had known." I said into his shoulder. I was quite sad. I've hurt my dongsaeng in a way that was too much for him to handle. The emotions, the lack of attention. It could really affect the way he continues to live. I mean Jungkook just got over his phobia of girls. I don't want to create another phobia for him. I want him to have a happy life.

KNOCK!! KNOCK!! KNOCK!!

We broke our 'man hug' and wiped our tears.

"It's open." I said, lazy to walk over to the door.

The door opened, revealing Irene. She was slightly shocked at seeing us together. Our eyes were moist, and snot was desperate to escape our noses. The room was full of silence and the awkward sniffles from Jungkook and I.

"Dinner's ready." She said risking a small smile. I was happy, but Jungkook was happier. He was probably happy that she wasn't awkward around him anymore. His smile reached his eyes, not letting his eyes wonder off of her. She was shyly looking towards him too.

If it was a normal day, I would've been jealous. But it wasn't. It was the day I found out on how badly my best friend was suffering from my happiness. I was with the woman he loves. I'll let him enjoy this moment.
