Can I really love?

Chapter 1

Olivia's P.O.V
Me and Hank had just finished of the last touches of the war plane today, we were both really proud with our work (but I think it was mainly him, I only helped with the design) and we had walked of to go get some papers sorted out to explain the war ship to them when we heard someone shout

"Lydia, Hank, get out here and explain this war plane" Hank shrugged and walked out to talk to the people but I held back because I was a bit nervous to new people in the facility because of my mutation

"Lydia come out here and meet these people" I took one steady breath and put a smile on and walked out of my hiding spot. There was a woman who has short brown hair, I recognise her she was agent Mctaggert then there was a blonde woman next to her who was beautiful, next to her was a man with brown hair and  blue eyes and then I looked next to him and saw the most handsome guy I have ever seen in my life, he had darker brown hair than the other guy but he had bright blue eyes. I walked towards Hank and he said proudly

"Me and Lydia worked on this plane together" I sighed before correcting him

"No it was more like I designed it and hank built it and made it better" I rolled up my sleeves to show my vine tattoos and the blonde hair girl looked at them before looking me in the eye and she smiled and I generally smiled back, I think I'm going to get along with this girl. Our boss looked at us all before saying

"Oh Lydia, Hank, this is agent Moria mctaggert, Raven Darkholme, Erik lensherr and Charles Xavier" he pointed to each and every one of them I just smiled a fake smile before Charles said

"You didn't tell me that they were both one" he smiled and shook mine and hanks hands while me and Hank looked at each other wide eyed. I don't like showing off my power because I don't like it, every one called me a freak at school, so the only person I told was Hank because he was like me so we told only each other everything but didn't tell anyone else, so how does he know.

"What do you mean?" Our boss asked and Charles then realised and then looked extremely guilty

"He doesn't know? Oh I am so sorry" Charles apologised but we just shook our heads because it was fine

"Hank, Lydia?" He asked further while me and Hank looked at each other before nodding

"You didn't ask so we didn't tell" Hank replied

"You can show it off" Charles assured while smiling. I don't want to show off I thought but Hank complied and took off his shoes and sock to show his hand feet. I smiled at him for reassurance, he jumped on the plane and said sarcastically

"Ya da" Raven walked over to him and said something that I didn't quite catch. Hank jumped down and Charles turned to me

"And what about you love?" He asked I went over to a dead plant that had been dead for a while and touched it. It started turning back to its normal colour and grew roses on. my vines then again turned back into tattoos. Everyone was smiling at me, I then excused myself and then started to walk back to my desk and then proceeded put my head in my my hands and sighed. Yay I have shown a bunch of strangers that I don't know my mutation and now they are all going to think I am freaks, very well done Olivia. I lifted up my head and saw the blonde girl called Raven walking towards me

"Hi" I greeted and she said nothing but crouched down to my level and said

"Hi, just for the record I think your mutation is special and that you shouldn't hide it it looks so cool on your arms and you shouldn't be afraid of us because we are just like you" I looked at her and smiled genuinely at her and was also happy that she was like me and I wasn't so much of a freak after all around them

"What is your mutations?" I asked curiously and then she smiled and stood up and then transformed into me and I looked shocked and amazed, she then turned into a form which is blue with red hair and yellow eyes. She looked at me worried before turning back into her human form and said

"Im sorry that is my original form and I don't show it that often as im not really comfortable showing it" she said honestly and I just smiled at her

"Raven just for the record you shouldn't hide your true form either, it's who you are and you look pretty in it" I said honestly and she smiled at me before reaching out for my hand and asked

"Shall we go see what the rest are up to?" And I nodded and took her hand and we walked to where the rest were, chatting and laughing along the way and getting to know each other.
