Chapter 8

The next day I was with hank and Alex in the nuclear bomb safe room trying out Alex's powers and putting a large metal plate on the chest

"Sexy" Alex complained and I glared at him to keep his mouth shut but he just looked unhappy and hank looked at him

"This is just the prototype, the real one will look considerably better and it will be a suit, you see these sensors here output your energy onto this panel, focuses it and stuff is absorbed" I explained and Alex looked at me and nodded slowly

"Okay try hitting the one in the middle, just the one in the middle" Charles said to him and me, Charles and hank exited the room and shut the door but he hit the other two instead of the middle one but he was trying.

Then we were back with Sean and we were on top of the satellite again. We always were either mentioning here or we are here it's so weird

"You truly believe I'll fly this time?" Sean asked and I nodded, knowing that this was a much bigger drop and more serious

"Unreservedly" Charles said and Sean looked at him

"I trust you two" he said to me and Charles

"Were charmed" Charles answered for us

"I don't trust him" he said pointing at hank and I laughed and hank looked offended

"Say nothing" Charles commented to him, knowing that it was Sean's nerves getting to him and Sean rubbed his hand over his face

"I'm going to die" he commented and I looked at him

"So did i" I muttered and Erik looked at me and smiled

"Okay alright we aren't going to make you do something you don't-" But Charles couldn't even finish his sentence as Erik offered

"Here let me help you" and then he pushed him off and I looked at him shocked, not thinking he was going to do it and Sean cried out and Charles looked worried

"Erik" he scolded while Erik looked smug and looked at me and I sighed

"Charles move" I said and he did and I looked down at the height and saw that Sean was flying and Erik looked at Charles

"What? I know you were thinking the same" he said and I laughed and then Erik looked at me expectingly

"Okay Charles there is something you don't know" I started and he looked at me worried

"Well I can have nature catch me before I fall from a great height, Erik helped me and pushed me off cause I needed to learn" I explained and he had his eyebrows raised and then I raised up my arms and fell off the satellite and the vines that had been crawling up the side of the satellite reached out and grabbed me so I swung around like Tarzan from vine to vine and I cheered and so did Sean.

We then came back with Alex and me and hank had set up a mannequin and then I stood next to it then hank stood next to me and then Charles stood the other side of the mannequin

"Wonderful work hank and Lydia, thank you. Now Alex I want you to hit the x and try not to hit me that's a good chap" Charles said and I smiled, knowing that this was going to happen and Alex looked at Charles as if he was crazy and so did hank

"You're serious?" Alex asked Charles no he looked at me and I nodded

"We're very serious. We have complete and utter faith in you" I said looking at Alex and he looked at me and I smiled reassuringly at him and he gave me a small smile back and hank did not look safe and I tried not to laugh at him and he moved across a bit and I stayed where I was showing Alex that I wasn't scared, that I trusted him and he shoot out his laser beam and it hit the mannequin and me hand and Charles ran away from the fire and Alex laughed, proud of himself and we all looked proud of him
