Can I really love?

Chapter 2

When me and raven caught up to the rest I saw that they were looking through files and I was curious

"What are we doing?" All the boys jumped out of there skin and turned around while I laughed a little while Charles looked at me, smiled then asked

"I'm curious how much research have you done about mutations?" I looked at him and then looked at the file that he had in his hands which had different peoples photos in which everyone knew were the first mutants that people really knew about and then I looked back up at his eyes that held so much wonder in them

"Well I've been studying mutations and how they happen within the bloodstream for nearly 5 years now and I have reached some breakthroughs, but I can't find anyone except from hank that will help me see how mutations actually work under a microscope" I explained to him and he looked at me and nodded and then looked at raven and Erik and they both nodded at him and I looked at them confused and then Charles lightly grabbed my hand and started leading me and everyone else to the lab and then I got even more confused

"Charles why are we in the lab?" I asked and we all walked in and raven and Erik sat down and then so did Charles and then he looked at me

"Well since you need more mutants blood, you have three of the finest mutants here" he said and indicated him, Erik and raven and I looked at them all

"Are you all sure? You don't mind this at all?" I asked and they all nodded their heads and then I squealed a little and grabbed three needles, a lot of Cotten buds, medical tape, antiseptic liquid  and 3 little jars and then I went in front of Erik and smiled at him. He took of his jacket and rolled up his sleeves and I thanked him and poured some of the antiseptic on a Cotten bud and wiped over the spot where the needle was going to go and then I put in the needle, while Erik made no sound or movement while I looked at him apologetically, then extracted out the blood and then pulled it out and put it on the little cloth I had and then grabbed another Cotten bud on his arm and then taped it over and nodded at him and he rolled down his sleeve and put his jacket back on while I injected the blood into the first of the little jars ad I thanked Erik and he nodded at me.

I then did the exact same with raven and she hissed a bit and blinked a few time in pain and I apologised over and over but she assured me it was fine and then I thanked her as well afterwards. I then moved onto Charles and injected ravens blood into the little jar while he took off his jacket and rolled up his sleeves and I did the same procedure with him but I was slightly more nervous cause I quite liked Charles and his morals and I looked at him and while I inserted the needle into him and he hissed ever so slightly and I looked at him sorrowful but he winked at me and I playfully rolled my eyes at him and carried on and then I placed the cotton bud on his arm after I had extracted the blood from him and then taped the cotton blood into place and smiled at him and injected his blood into the little jar and put them all in a safe place so that they couldn't get broken or anything and everyone left except Charles.

"Thank you for this Charles, it means a lot" I thanked him as I started putting everything away as it was getting late and I needed to go to bed and he smiled at me

"It's not a problem and I kind of owe it to you after revealing your secret to your boss" he said and I looked at him and laughed a little and then we both started to walk towards our rooms for the night and then we reached mine

"But still thank you, I can carry on my investigation period now but help you in the process if you still need my help" I said and he looked at me

"I'd love for you to help us, that is very kind of you" he said and I nodded

"Goodnight Charles" I said and started to walk into my room

"Goodnight love" he said and continued to walk down the hallway and I smiled and collapsed on my bed and sighed deeply and fell asleep thinking about Charles
