Staring at the face I see
I gaze upon an ugly duckling
Just because of imperfections listed by society
Time to face what low self-esteem may bringA crooked smile
A speckled face
Staring a little long
I view this ugly duckling not as a blessing but a disgraceMore plump than thin
The duckling's personality sits there faded
Scars all over it's skin
Time seems like it's been washedStarting a little longer at the different being
I'm ashamed to realize
This duckling turns out to be me
Am I the only one that sees the dull in my eyesSwans say they see a blessing
They see something worth being around
But some certain ones peck until their squawk stings
I get destroyed by the soundIn all honestly you could sing
A million beautiful tunes
But one bad note you sing
Will forever put me in sand dunes-{Kye}
S/N- Sorry it's taken forever for me to update. I've been really busy. I tried to make something that rhymed. Hope you guys like it!
