Chapter 15- Finding Ella

Ella ran deep into the graveyard, so angry and confused about everyone. Am I really related to the Wicked Witch? Were they telling he truth? Did I really go through seven years of misery, because they were afraid of me? Do a Jasper and his brothers hate me now? Did I scare them? All these questions bounced around in Ella head.

She trudged through an abandoned part of the graveyard hoping to find someplace to calm down. Thicker trees loomed over her as she threw herself behind an old statue. Ella buried her face between her knees and sobbed, not sure what to do next. She sat there for a while listening to the sound of manure, owls hooted and leaves blew across the night sky bringing the November wind in.

Ella soon drifted off into a sleep when a loud owl hoot woke her up. She sniffed and brushed the tears from her eyes then wrapped her arms around herself keeping warm from the chilly night.

Just then a loud snap startled Ella. She sunk down in the shadows as she glanced and saw a figure shuffled not far from her. It was Lance. He turned towards Ella and frowned. "Ella! There you are! Jasper and the brows have been looking for you everywhere! Their so worried!"

He shuffled over to Ella and helped her stand up. "Come on!" Lance lead Ella away to a little pond where Jasper and his brothers stood looking super worried. As soon as they saw Ella there frowned melted away. They staggered over to her checking for any cuts or bruises.

Jasper sighed in relief and said, "I'm so glad your okay!" Ella didn't reply. She just gazed at the ground as Jasper made up a crazy excuse on why Ella ran away to Lance.

He nodded then groaned, "glad she's okay then." Jasper and his bringers talked to Lance for a while when Ella noticed her hands were turning back to their original color. She gave a small gasp and squeezed her fist tight, hoping and praying that her face wasn't turning back too.

Ella started staggering away slowly, hoping that no one would see her leave. Quickly, she spun around walking quickly away when Quincey frowned and said, "Ella! Get back here!"

He caught Ella by surprise causing her to give a small yelp and trip over her own feet. Ella tumbled down the hill straight towards the pond when Quincey yelped, "No!"

Ella's small body plunged into the pond, engulfing her in cold water. Jasper, Iggy, Quincey and Axe charged towards the pond as Ella sat up in the shallow water, lifting her soggy hair out of her face. Her makeup dripped down her face as the green of her skin vanished.

"She's human!" Lance gasped. Other zombies in the area turned towards the chaos as soon as they heard the word human.

Ella stood up and squeezed the water out from her dress as Jasper and his brothers helped Ella out of the pond. "Uh, Ella" Iggy aid with a worried face. "Your skin is back to normal!" Ella gulped as she saw the mobs of zombies head towards her.

"This is bad. This is really bad!" Jasper said picking up Ella and running away from the zombies. His brothers followed behind, blocking any zombies from Ella.

Quickly, five of them made their way towards the boys headstones when a large hand shot out of the ground causing Jasper to help and step on it.

They got to the boys graves and quickly got to their house, just before someone could breakdown their door. Jasper put Ella down and blocked the door, while Iggy and Quincey plugged up the holes in the ceiling.

Ella began to cry when she said, "I'm so so so sorry! This is all my fault! I blew it and now your all in danger!" Jasper pushed the couch in front of the door and said, "it's not your fault! It's ours. We should have been by your side the whole time."

Ella shook her head and said, "no! It's all my fault! It's probably the curse, Stacey said. I'm the descendant of the Wicked Witch and I cursed us! Now you all hate me!"

Jasper stopped and turned towards Ella. "We don't hate you! So your the Wicked Witches descendant or whatever. We still like you. And you didn't curse us. If you did we probably would be dead. And it's not your fault!"

The door started to shake causing Jasper to hold it shut when Ella squeezed her yes and said, "it's my fault!" Her hair floated up as her eyes shine bright yellow causing the whole room to shake.

Jasper and his brothers gasped and fell on the floor as the shaking died and Ella's hair and eyes stopped being weird. Her body collapsed on the floor as the noise outside silenced.

Jasper scrambled over to her as Iggy walked over to the door and peaked out. "Their gone!" Jasper put his ear to Ella's chest then sighed in relief. "She's okay."

"And she made everyone disappear!" Quincey grinned. Jasper smiled and picked Ella up. "What a night." He walked over to Ella's room and changed her into some crummy clothes she had then tucked her into bed.

Jasper pulled up a couple large blankets over Ella's boney body a rested her hand over her little teddy bear. He was glad she was safe. Jasper couldn't bare to see the zombies get her. He could bare to have the same thing that happened to his brothers and himself to happen to her. He couldn't. He just can't.
