I've been feeling kind of weird ever since that terrible nightmare. I've been trying to cast it out of my mind but I just couldnt help but feel that there was something wrong.

Today I woke up with a major headache......and backache...... and heartache,but what was new right. Atleast now I could attribute my backache and headache to a nasty friend, my period. I really hated my period. It always made me feel so sick.

So there I was, laying in bed like an invalid when my phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hie Kat." It was Sara but she sounded different.

"Hie Sara, what's the matter?"

"Oh nothing really. I'm just coming down with something." I heard a few miserable coughs at the other end of the line before her breathing stabilized.

"Oh my poor baby. Is Aiden taking good care of you?" I asked getting seriously worried. Maybe I should go over there.

"Well he's trying but you know men. They're idiots." She gave a weak chuckle that soon turned into a coughing fit.

"Sara I think I better come back and make sure you're okay.'

"No!no. That's fine. I'll be here whenever you decide to come back to us. I'll be alright."

I knew she wanted me to stay as long as I needed and she didn't want me to feel guilty about it but she was my friend I needed to make sure she was good.

"I have to go sweety. Bye." She said.

I was about to cut the line but I heard her voice so I put the phone back to my ear thinking she had something else to say to me.

"Do you think she bought it?" I heard Sara's voice.

"I don't know but you were pretty convincing so I bet she did." Aiden spoke.

The blood froze in my veins before it started to boil. They lied to me. They tried to trick me.

"I hope she did because we really need her here. Aiden the pack is going to fall apart without her. She has to come back." The choked sob that left Sara broke my heart.

"Shhhhhh baby she will. Just give her some time." I had had enough of listening in so I cleared my throat loudly to make my presence known.

"Shit!" And the line went dead.

I huffed in disbelief. They just cut the line on me cause they knew I'd be pissed. Fucking cowards.

Some part of me was happy though. That they would take such desperate measures to get me back,but they are not the ones I want to beg for my return. I want him to beg.

I groaned as a sharp pain went through my lower abdomen. Fml.

"Mom, Dad, I'd like to go back now." I said that night at the dinner table.

My mom's fork slipped out of her hand as she looked at me in disbelief.

"After everything they did to you?"

They? It was just my mate.....and a few other people I guess,but still.

"Mom, they who?"

"Them. That pack of savages!"

I felt a growl try to escape me but I took deep breath and tried to calm down.

"Mom I know you don't really like them, but they are my pack and I have to go back." After eavesdropping on the beta couple's conversation earlier I realised I'd hidden for long enough. My pack needed me and I wouldn't let my fear of the alpha keep me caged up here.
