Chapter 35

Kat's pov

I felt tingles originate from my chest and spread out through my entire body. From my head to my hands to my feet. Slowly the tingles turned into a slow burn. I jumped off the bed and run into the bathroom.

I gasped when I saw my reflection in the mirror.

Okay this was getting too wierd. The burning sensation had intensified to the point where I felt like I was on fire. But the fire wasn't on my skin it was in my blood.

My blood coursed hot through my veins like lava and I could hear my heart pounding against my ribs.

What was this?

I stared at myself in the mirror and was met by swirling orbs of molten gold. I brought my hand up to my face. It was still me.

I cried out as the pain in my body became too much to bare. I slid down to the bathroom floor. As tears fell from my eyes.

Gryphon??? What's happening to me?

Sybil.

What?

My name, it's Sybil.

I smiled through my tears. I understood now so I endured the pain until it was gone.

I got up from the bathroom floor and looked at myself in the mirror. I didn't look any different, I was still me but I knew on the inside everything was different. I was a queen now.

It's time to get this show on the road. I walked out of the bathroom. I already had a dress and it was beautiful,it was a baby blue with pink roses all over,it made me look like a princess, in my opinion atleast.

I decided to take a shower first so I quickly undressed,hopped into the shower and hopped out. I really had to hurry.

I applied lotion to my skin so I wouldn't look crusty. I put on a black strapless bra and matching undies before I pulled on the the dress. I didn't really know what to do with my hair and face so I pulled my hair into a neat bun on top of my head and put on some lip gloss.

Well it isn't going to get any better than this.

Clearly.

I rolled my eyes but smiled.

I knew the ball had already started but I had to wait for Micha to come get me.

Micha.

I let out a heavy sigh. He really was trying and I was being difficult. I'd already forgiven him anyway. I'll tell him when he comes to get me.

I sat down on my bed waiting for a while, my stomach in turmoil. I knew I was doing the right thing,maybe not in the best way but this had to happen. I remembered Alpha Jack's sister and shuddered but at the same time felt myself grow angry. She didn't deserve to die.

Before I could get really angry the door opened. My breath hitched when I looked up.

Gorgeous, that was the only way to described him. His muscles straining against the jacket of his black tux with a baby blue shirt inside. How did he know I was wearing that colour?? Whatever. His hair was still a mess and slightly damp but it worked. I almost moaned just looking at him.

I stood up and he walked over to me. We stood there before each other, neither one of us saying a word but communicating all the same. He pulled me to his cheat and I breathed him in. This was where I was supposed to be. This was home.

"I forgive you." I whispered softly.

"Thank you." He breathed out.

He pulled back and lifted my chin so I could look into his beautiful grey eyes. He leaned into me and planted a soft kiss on my lips but I wanted more so I hooked my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss.

He groaned as he pulled away from me. His eyes were dark now and his voice husky when he spoke.

"We have to go."

I simply nodded as he led me out the door. My head was still spinning from the kiss.

The walk to the ball room wasn't remotely long enough,but indeed we got there and I held my head high as we walked in. Regardless of me being queen,a fact that not everyone knew,I was still luna of this pack and I needed to act like it.

Everyone stopped as we walked in but the soft music continued. I looked everyone in the eyes and hid a smirk when some of them looked away.

We stopped right in the middle.

"Thank you alphas and luna's for travelling to our pack, enjoy the ball and everything else will come later." Micha said. He didn't even have to shout.

After that the ball resumed and I was given another hour or so to collect myself.

I spotted Sara and Aiden dancing a ways away and waved. Sara looked lovely in a sapphire ball gown and Aiden dapper in a black tux.

"May I have this dance my lady." Micha asked with a smirk.

"Ofcourse kind sir." I giggled.

He gently took my hand and pulled me close. I laid my head on his chest and just let myself enjoy being so close to my mate.

Before I knew it the ball was coming to an end and the alphas and their lunas were making there way to the Micha's conference room.

My nerves were in turmoil and I was sure I was going to throw up. I was still in Micha's arms and that was little comfort.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine." He looked at me with warm eyes. To think that there was warmth inside that cold exterior and he was willing to share it with me. I didn't take it for granted.

"Ya you're right." I took a deep breath.

There was nothing to be scared about, I was simply going to tell them something that they would have found out eventually.

When everyone had left we started making our way to Micha's office. Good thing this place was so huge or else not everyone would have fit.

When we got to the door of the conference room I held my head high and plastered a smile on my face.

Let's do this.
