We left the pack house an hour later. I packed my clothes in a small duffel and so did he. I was anxious. I'd never been to a funeral before and it felt kind of wierd that my first one would be for someone I didn't even know.

Micha left Aiden in charge which meant he'd have to deal with all the questions about Lucy. I felt bad for him honestly. He didn't know about me. Nobody knew apart from my mate and my parents, and perhaps the elder who told us the story, what was her name again? Everyone will be so confused as to why this happened. Time is running out.

Apparently this pack we were going to wasn't very far,it was right outside our territory so we should be there within the hour. We had a big territory. I was about to close my eyes and take a nap when Micha spoke.

"Im sorry our date night was ruined." He said.

"It was going to happen some time. It's fine." I assured with a smile.

"The receptionist-"

"Now her I'd like to wrap my talons around. I mean we don't even look alike." I scoffed and folded my arms on my chest.

Micha chuckled at my childish behavior.

"Do you think our age difference is that noticeable? " I asked. I'd actually wanted to ask for a while I just hadn't had a chance, what with us alternating turns to hate each other.

"Yes." He answered nonchalantly.

"And it doesn't bother you?" I asked a bit skeptical.

"Does it bother you?"

"Hey! I asked first."

He simply shot me a withering look so I answered.

"Not so much now as it did before. I mean Im still not sure why I got paired with such an old man but whatever."

Micha choked on his spit as he laughed.

"Old? I am not old."

"Riiiiiggghhhhtttt."

"It does bother me but probably not for the reason you think. You are still so young and you've barely started living and now you're stuck with me. A man who has had time to find hinself and grow. But being the selfish man I am,Im never going to let you go." He said without looking at me.

I don't know why but my heart fluttered at that,I mean he basically told me I'd be his hostage forever.

After that little exchange we spent the rest of the drive in a comfortable silence. I wish I knew what was going through that old brain of his. Since it was dark I couldn't watch the scenery so I just settled on stealing small glances of my mate.

I guessed we'd crossed the invisible boundary when my mates hands tightened around the wheel. Alphas didn't like to leave their territories. We drove for a while longer before a huge building peeked through the trees. It got bigger as we got closer and I concluded that it must have been the pack house.

We drove up the gravel drive way and parked right outside. It was big but not as big as ours, which filled me with a strange sense of pride.

This pack house was a white so bright it hurt to look at. I wondered how they managed to keep it like that.

I saw the door open and young man walk out. Micha got out and came over to my side and opened the door for me before helping me down.

The man walked up to us and bowed his head as he spoke.

"The alpha is waiting for you in his office."

Micha nodded and started walking when I stopped.
